In January 2022 Gullis drew attention due to his lack of a face covering and "bellowing with his mouth wide open and appearing to rock backwards and forwards" in the Commons during Prime Minister's Questions, following a statement from the Leader of the SNP group, Ian Blackford, that implied over a million people had been plunged into poverty as a result of Conservative party policy. After Gullis' behaviour in the Commons went viral, the Speaker of the House Lindsay Hoyle was interviewed by The Times where he said he wanted members to stop "screaming and shouting" in the chamber. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jonathan_Gullis - worth a read! Only last week Mr Gullis was reprimanded by House of Commons Speaker Lindsay Hoyle during Liz Truss' first Prime Minister's Questions. He was told to 'show better behaviour' by Mr Hoyle, after he continued to speak loudly from the back benches as the new PM was answering a question. Mr Hoyle interrupted Ms Truss' answer to tell Mr Gullis that he was getting 'very carried away'. It came as Ms Truss was responding to a question from Welsh Labour MP Alex Davies-Jones, who had asked the PM to call an immediate general election. Ms Truss had started to refer to energy prices and the war in Ukraine before she was interrupted by the Speaker. Mr Hoyle said: "One of the members for Stoke is getting very carried away. And I know as a former teacher he'll want to show better behaviour than he's showing at the moment." www.stokesentinel.co.uk/news/stoke-on-trent-news/stoke-trent-mp-jonathan-gullis-7573105And yet Truss has appointed this clown as a Department of Education Minister!

It could have been worse, it could have been Gavin Williamson! As Liz Truss probably said to Thérèse Coffey, "Clowns to the left of me Jokers to the right Here I am stuck in the middle with you".

At least my half sister hasn't yet been given a job by Truss to my knowledge - she backed Sunak.
However, she has somehow got onto the 1922 Committee!

Liz Truss’s most senior adviser has been interviewed by FBI agents about an alleged criminal plot to bribe an American politician and influence a US election. Mark Fullbrook is the Downing Street chief of staff — the prime minister’s main aide with a leading role in shaping government strategy. He ran Truss’s leadership campaign and has advised foreign governments and prime ministers including Boris Johnson, Margaret Thatcher and Sir John Major.
Today it can be revealed that he was involved in an alleged conspiracy to subvert the democracy of Puerto Rico, the US-administered Caribbean island. Prosecutors have said those responsible “struck a blow to the heart of our democracy” and “eroded the confidence of our citizens in their institutions of governance”.

Mark Fullbrook was quizzed this year after detectives made a secret request via Metropolitan Police and NCA.
Liz Truss’s most senior adviser has been interviewed by FBI agents about an alleged criminal plot to bribe an American politician and influence a US election.
FBI probe centres on a Venezeulan-born, Mayfair-based Tory donor.
He allegedly gave $300k to the re-election of a Trump-supporting governor of Puerto Rico, US territory, on one condition: sack the head of its financial regulator, which was investigating suspicious activity at his bank.
But the banker was a foreign national and didn't want people to know about the quid pro quo, so allegedly secretly paid the $300k to someone else instead.
That was CT Group, the lobbying firm founded by Sir Lynton Crosby. They would use the money to help the governor win.
Prosecutors have said those responsible “struck a blow to the heart of our democracy” and “eroded the confidence of our citizens in their institutions of governance”
Per US Department of Justice, Fullbrook led CT's involvement. He flew to Puerto Rico to meet governor on same day she sacked the regulator.
He brokered payments as CT produced secretive research. In text donor said CT would pick top campaign manager, not "monkey" from the island
But Fullbrook's alleged help did not work. Governor lost election. FBI launched investigation which has led to charges, guilty pleas, convictions.
In April, Fullbrook was made the formal "subject" of FBI probe. He hired criminal defence team at US white-shoe law firm White&Case
He has since signed "proffer deal" - allowing him to give FBI evidence which won't be used against him in criminal proceedings - and is now cooperating as a witness.
He has told Cabinet Office Propriety + Ethics Team. He hasn't passed vetting. Allies say this is normal at this stage.
Sources have raised how Truss can have chief of staff involved in criminal plot investigated by Britain's closest ally.
Biden White House has prioritised combatting foreign interference in US politics.
Last night, Fullbrook said he didn't know about the banker's allegedly corrupt intentions and that he was "confident" he had behaved within the law
Today, Fullbrook has told No10 staff that this govt will draw a line under the scandals that ended Johnson's premiership.
Fullbrook, who has told Cabinet Office propriety and ethics team about his situation, also said it was a privilege to work in No10.

Kwarteng confirms NI increase will be reversed from November I see.
Classic case of boneheaded conservative ideology. As someone that will benefit from the full amount, I'd rather they kept my 30 quid a month as it's worth less than **** all to me or anyone else at this point whereas the combined buying power of however many billion it was meant to raise might actually have got us somewhere.
All the public sector is at its core is a giant economy of scale. You'd think the "party of business and fiscal responsibility" would understand the concept of a price break but apparently not.

The NI increase is on earnings between 12.5k and 50k isn't it? So maximum you can get back is about 400 quid. Edit; just seen this is wrong, apparently above 50k went up to 3.25% too so i will be rewarded with the princely sum of around 45 quid a month. The average is £330 annually apparently so a bit less than £30 a month. Feel the economic growth trickling down.

I’m no economist, but it does seem that B of E and Govt are pulling in different directions. Bank raise interest rates to reduce demand and therefore inflation, and at the same time the Govt is slashing taxes to get the economy growing. TheGovernor of Bank has apparently written to Govt to tell them that rates will have to rise further to dampen the extra demand caused by the tax cuts! You couldn’t make it up!
