Jimmy Keohane 30, Elliott Bennett 32 - given that we've just released Davis who is 31 and certainly not a duffer; I'm not so sure.

Mo Eisa has become a daft rumour on EFL hub.....doubt that would come to anything. I do think its a bout time we had a wow signing in a striker role... Grant Holt et al.
If we are serious this season of pushing up the table we need someone who can put it in the onion bag.

Can’t imagine Shrewsbury could afford the fee & significant wages but would love to be wrong

Also bare in mind Eisa hasn't been released by Peterboro. He's got another 2 years of his contract left and has been transfer listed. He cost a lot of money when he was signed and will be on big wages for L1 I'm sure

Honestly I much prefer it when we bring someone in completely left field and out of the blue, like Ogbeta. All the rumours and finding tenous links to Cotterill and the like is a bit of fun but a complete waste of time.

He got ten goals from left back!

He won't get 10 goals here.. Our centre forward will not get 10 goals.

Decent player at this level - would take as back up or if Ogbeta was to move to an alternative position

I don’t think a 28 year old left back who’s just scored ten goals in a season would come as backup. Must be room for both him & Ogbeta in the side.

We need a LB who can defend.
Ogbeta can be employed further up the pitch.

If we play 3-5-2 Ogbeta is a perfect wing back, all be it needs to improve defensively.
If we play a flat back 4, I think at the moment he’s not good enough and to improve him in that position would limit some of his best attributes.

A quick scan of the Brizzle forum suggests defending isn’t Leahy’s strong point either

Let's hope we arent defending too much next season, leave that to the opposition. Wont be an issue then.
If we have goals coming from elsewhere we wont have to spend on a 20 goal a season striker too

Not sure what’s more eye catching about Leahy, his goalscoring record from full back or two relegations from League One in the last three seasons

Eisa has been transfer listed I think it’s Peterborough’s policy to transfer list all players when they reach the final year of their contract

Eisa has been transfer listed Do you have a spare million quid to help with the transfer fee?

Abo Eisa his brother and former Shrews player released by Scunnythorpe. Scored a few goals and no fee needed for this Eisa!

A 20 goal a season striker would still be in single figures if he came here! Don't know if we get strikers that do not suit our system but it as been a long time since we had a striker score 20 goals for us.

Wouldn’t have him back now in a month of Sundays though.

A brilliant coup would be Liam Walsh from Bristol City, who has been released on a free. We were in for him under Ricketts I think, and he ripped L1 up when on loan at Coventry in 19/20. Hopefully Cotteril’s Brizzle links could sway him this way, as he’ll undoubtedly have many suitors.

Not sure what’s more eye catching about Leahy, his goalscoring record from full back or two relegations from League One in the last three seasons Norwich conceded a ton of goals in being relegated last season but Godfrey and Lewis went for mega-millions and they only just kept Aarons, who'll likely move this summer. The other centre back and goalkeeper must have been responsible!

Eisa has been transfer listed Do you have a spare million quid to help with the transfer fee? He won't fetch anything like that, surely. Went to Bristol City when they were in the Championship, now put up for transfer by Peterborough as they go up - evidently not considered good enough for the Championship and only 2 goals in 27 league appearances last season in League 1. Can't see him getting a move higher than the third tier in England as it stands. If that's a £1m striker in the post-pandemic market, football can have no financial problems for anyone to be concerned about!

His stats for last season are bad as mostly all sub appearances. £300k or so would probably get him but the wages would be very high you’d imagine
