Bit of a nothing game for both teams tomorrow. The tractor boys can't reach the playoffs.
"Ipswich Town have drawn 4 of their last 8 matches in English League One. They have scored an average of 0.98 goals per game since the beginning of the season in the L1. Their form stats indicate an average number of goals scored per game of 0.50 in the last 8 matches, which is 49% lower than their current season's average"

I am getting a bit fed up with the excuses offered by the management team for our awful home form lately (Oxford's week off being the latest). Let's hope our players rediscover a bit of pride and fight and do not slump to another feeble defeat. Forget about who will or who won't be at the club next season - play the strongest team available in the right formation and give the fans something to cheer about for a change.

Lost interest in this season now and disappointed we will not finish above 17th which is pretty poor considering the games in hand and points we had at the beginning of March.
Next interest for me is the retained list and then new signings. Anyone know how season ticket sales are, been very quiet on that front?

With no crowds in I dont think there is any home advantage this season. Oxford won because they were clearly the better team and had something to play for. Very enthusiastic coaching from their bench as well which we have missed since SC was sidelined. Ipswich will be a very different game. Nothing to play for and two equally matched teams. The Crewe game will be the same so any result possible. Roll on this time next week when the season will be over and we can start again with a renewed energy.

Agree regarding Tuesday and it's got 0-0 written all over it. Artells Crewe might be a different prospect on Sunday especially as our lot are bound to be 'tired'... I'll put up with those Ricketts style excuses for another week or so, but when Cotterill is back.....Nah..

I’m not going to moan about poor home form when our away results have been far better than usual. Clearly the lack of crowds has diminished any meaningful home and away differential.
I’m glad I haven’t been to watch those home games though!

Somewhat bizarre post really. We literally have nothing to play for, a lot of the lads know they will be released and will be going through the motions. Oxford did have a full week off, are chasing play offs and recently pumped us at their place and are a far superior team. And despite all this we still have them a real game.

We would all like them to win of course but I do think, in view of what has been happening with our manager, it is possibly more important that he gets a chance to view the players before making decisions about their futures and our futures as a club next season.
This has been a peculiar season for all clubs but there is no doubt that we are in a unique position regarding how many games our manager has attended in person.

Tonight is one of those games, where if I hadn't already paid, I wouldn't bother.
As it is, it will be on in the background while I do other stuff.
That's one if the few advantages of ifollow.
I would like to see Daniels back in. I would also like to see Goss in, but that would be harsh on Davies who has done well.

I would like to think that we can finish our final home game of the season with not just a win but a performance full of character, pride and passion.
Our home form over recent months has been poor so let's go out tonight on a high.
It will also be good to see Daniels and Goss back in the squad.

Hope it's a decent game, hope we see some goals and hopefully a Town win. But I'm not that concerned about the result. Season's done, as far as I see it this is now looking ahead to next season and if the manager wants to have a look at one or two things then it's all good. He's already done his bit this season. He'll be judged again now next season, not on these two remaining games.
Come on Town!!

I was going to say it would be good to get a win so we don't let the season fizzle out but then realised that ship has already sailed. 7 defeats in the last 10 games, the players really haven't helped themselves with earning any contracts for next season
Let's get this season over and done with.
