Just need to get to 50 points ASAP that’s all we need to do. Observations on the game... Wimbledon, although limited in natural ability, probably deserved a point for their endeavours, they reminded me a little of how we were when Hursty came in to save us from a almost certain relegation a few years back. We were far too sloppy tonight and with two goals chalked off for offside the equaliser for Wimbledon was inevitable sadly, but I think a draw is probably a fair result overall. Also the gaffer... he just can’t put his phone away can he? I can only imagine how fidgety he gets in his hospital bed during games... you do wonder if the doctors and nurses looking after him take a dim view of it.

A bit frustrating as overall we deserved a win but I thought we were a bit off it tonight as an attacking force. First disallowed goal was clearly offside but I did not think the second one was. Weak defending for the second goal but I thought Sarkic was a bit affected by a knock beforehand. Well, one point from two games against teams battling relegation has certainly punctured our playoffs long shot bandwagon but the main thing is getting the manager back healthy for next season and we can push on from there.

Let's see what the enticement of a £250K promotion bonus does for the lazy shower who wear the fabled red of Wrexham... Perhaps the Slot King Of Shropshire should seek financial help from the other gypsies who own Blackpool Pleasure Beach for help? help the family? Shrowsbury could easily be drawn into a relegation battle

Talking of Hursty, another 1-0 defeat for the Shrewsbury cast off XI tonight. What else can you expect with Payne up front, and The Shop replacing him 2/3rd the way through. No wonder they cant score. Pity neither of Southend nor Barrow can pick up points right now either.

Combination of Ogbeta, Williams and Sarkic at fault for that goal I'm afraid.

Lets stop all talk of the play offs and be realistic. A mid table finish would be fantastic for SC and his management team and give us real hope that a fully fit manager, one or two new players and crowds back in the stadium will give us a real chance next season.

Seems like HBs been written off by most fans. Hope he doesn’t do social media otherwise his confidence is going to be shot. Who’d be a goal keeper when you see all the errors other players make that are soon forgotten.

I’m not in the office today, so can’t refer to the files but from memory he only committed three minor errors when passing his driving test. I don’t like to get too entrenched in opinions rather than facts, but someone with such an exemplary record must be ice-cold under pressure with nerves of steel.

Couldn't walk for a while, when offered the Covid vaccination I accepted and got there using a frame. Slowly got back to being able to actually pick my feet up and walk - the longest I have ever had off sick in my career. So, look after that quad Mr Sorekic(er)

But when I got up in the night, as you do, my leg gave way and I nearly hit my head on the bedroom door.

Mediocre match between two ordinary looking teams. Disappointing to have two goals disallowed but Udoh certainly seemed offside and it looked like Main was too, though hard to be sure. Doesn't alter my opinion that we didn't deserve to win.
We looked sluggish all night and the fact that a team as direct as Wimbledon had 53% possession says a lot about the quality of our passing. Once they'd scored I was glad of the point because they certainly looked sharper and stronger than us in the closing stages.
Another one to forget, Chapman's brilliant moment apart. Still, only 4 wins away from 50 points and still 17 games in which to do that. Should be fine but not so confident we'll make the top half. Doesn't matter; we've turned the season around and let's be thankful for that and hope our manager is soon fully recovered.

I’m quite relaxed about the perceived dip in performances given the circumstances. Ultimately this is by and large the same core of players that performed below their collective level in the early part of the season. After a period of over performance coinciding with the appointment of a new managerial team, are we now just seeing a reversion to the mean?

Chapman, Goss and Whalley out with Udoh, Double D and Daniels in. Not sure why nobody has seen fit to comment on that, which is far more newsworthy than some of the preceding drivel. and nobody did they dont like a smartarse do they

After a period of over performance coinciding with the appointment of a new managerial team, are we now just seeing a reversion to the mean? Agreed, I think that maintaining the SC average of 2 points a game was always going to be fanciful at best, especially when injuries etc start to come back again. Don’t begrudge anyone getting a bit over-excited though, after all football exists to bring joy.
