2 goals rubbed off for offside, they go up the other end and equalise. You couldn't write it!! not the first time this season

Burton out of the bottom four. Never mind us, that is quite the turnaround! Up to 18th in the live table.

Sucker punch - poor from Sarkic i suspect sarkik has a little niggle, not seemed himself this half, not taking the goal kicks before of after the goal

Well that was an incredibly forgettable and downright frustrating encounter. Two very workmanlike teams separated frankly by very little. To be fair to the balance of play Town certainly showed the more endeavour and enterprise but far too often the play was just far too sloppy and with no one really taking the game by the scruff of the neck. That Town got a point was down in no small part to the lack of quality in the Wimbledon team and, again being fair, from a decent enough showing from the back three, but we failed to grasp the midfield and that cost us too much possession. It was always going to be a battle to win from there and after the equaliser we sat even deeper for a fairly precarious ending but at least it's another point on our quest for survival.
Difficult to pick a man of the match but a toss up between the movement and forward endeavour shown by Ogbeta and the supreme quality shown by Chapman for the goal.

Just your bang average, forgettable 3rd division affair. Something I don't think we have seen too often of late. Tad disappointed with the result as the Dons weren't up to much and I thought we'd done enough to get the three points. But there you go, a point it is. Great goal from Chapman. Ogbeta man of the match.

Another point towards 50.
That's two performances now that haven't been to our usual standards. Our passing was well off tonight, way too many balls given away and all unforced errors.
Main was unlucky I thought with his disallowed goal. But, there you go.

Shocking defending in the last 5 mins. We could easily have lost that.
Giving the ball away in dangerous areas time and time again.

Wimbledon were awful, one of the worst sides I've seen. We weren't any better and only had one real bit of quality (for the goal)
The equaliser was terrible defending, who let the striker get the wrong side of him and then watched it go over head? And then Sarkic was weak too, nothing wrong with the challenge despite what Elliot said
I've been someone who has been pushing for 2 up front for a long time but based on tonight it isn't necessarily the answer.

Let's face it without SC it's going to be a struggle, good job we picked up those earlier wins, not blaming AW,main thing is SC getting better and then Town getting the necessary points for survival, no more talk of play offs.

Will we get another letter saying "Sorry those offside goals were onside (but you don't get the two points back)",

1-1
how about i lock this thread and bring up a random one from the last 2 years ;-)
thats probably unfair due to SC and his circumstances but if you are a realist like me, tonight went by the book as far as shrewsbury town go
roll on saturday for the next episode of fine margins

Lacked a spark tonight. Wouldn’t say we played badly but we seemed to be operating at 80%, and the fact of the matter is that as improved as we are, we’re not good enough to win games when we’re not near our best.

That’s the season over now for me.
Really excited to see who we bring in the summer. Rome wasn’t built in a day, and this team weren’t going to be completely fixed in the January transfer window.

I think both teams can count themselves fortunate to have scored because it never really looked on the cards. Devoid of attacking quality to say the least. Having said that, the move for Ogbeta’s chance deserved more.
Once the goals were ruled out and Wimbledon, despite lacking a proper threat, kept plugging away you just had the feeling there was a cr@ppy little goal coming their way as reward for plodding on.
Not much entertainment, and not a good point at this time.
We mustn’t let the Cotterill thing be an excuse because they’ve pulled off some excellent results during his last stay in hospital. They just need to up it again. Credit where it’s due, the running was back today after Saturday’s no show. The quality on the ball not so much.
I just hope we don’t leave ourselves looking over our shoulders by letting this lesser level of performance become a ‘thing’.
