Zak Crawley is an injury doubt for the first test due to a wrist injury, Ollie Pope is on standby to replace him. Slipped over in a corridor outside a changing room.

Things come to those that wait, I have never spent a penny on Sky , all right it has taken a while The shame is that the last live cricket on Channel 4 was the unforgettable Ashes series of 2005. Loads of new converts to cricket must have been made that year - and then the ECB sells the broadcast rights to Sky! The timing was terrible - the deal had already been done and sanctioned before the series began. Otherwise I think it might have been saved. It’s the only thing that would tempt me to get Sky, but I have resisted.

Shame about Sibley being out in the last over. But he's done his job.
Now it's up to Root and the middle order to take us to 450+

That was really disappointing for Dom Sibley. He deserved to be not out at the close.
On a side note, how enjoyable to be watching live cricket again on terrestrial TV.
Thanks channel 4 😊

19 No Balls so far in this innings. Wonder how many were missed before being called by the 3rd Umpire. Loving the Klaxxon sound when one is bowled!! Getting closer to the 600+ Root was looking for. Missed this yesterday but this is Bumrah's 17th test but his first in India.
---
Very odd. Watching C4 on my laptop via All4 and at 1130 it stopped and said the programme isn't available live even though it's on until 1155 on C4.

England doing well to chop away at the Indian batting line-up, and hopefully will have another bat to give the home side a target which they think is within their reach. Also pleased to SEE WI in a successful chase - it should mean the restoration of much-needed pride into Caribbean cricket.....the world game needs a strong WI!

Washington Sundar looks very assured having only played 14 first class games imcluding the 2 tests. Most of his games are T20. Thankfully he ran out of partners 85* off 138 balls (12 x 4, 2 x 6).
---
Noticable the number of no balls India have bowled in this match especially the spinners. Ashwin had never had a nb against his in name in 74 tests and over 20,000 balls has had 4 so far.

Confused now, sending new batsmen out, reviewing decisions, still no declaration or attempt at quick runs. I hope they win comfortably and prove us wrong !
