Pull the trigger Roland, an end is in sight.

It would be a thoroughly uncomfortable and disappointing experience if there is hostility in our first game back after so long. This could force Roland's hand.
For what its worth, I expect Shropshire to go in to medium risk tier 2 so might not effect us yet

Doesn't even cover all our STHs.

even when its good news its makes no sense, surely common sense would be a percentage of the capacity at grounds
its a start though i suppose

If its still about keeping the numbers down (those attending and going to and from the stadiums) then the fixed number does make sense. A percentage would mean an awful lot more people attending games which at the minute they're still not keen on by the looks. Good news though. It is a start.

A nervous wait off the pitch to find out whether we're in Tier 3 or not.
Unlike on the pitch, where there's little doubt about whether we're going to be in the third tier for much longer.

Presumably it's not just about the numbers inside the ground, it's about the movement of people to and from the ground and the clusters that form before and after people get inside. That's a lot harder to manage than people in a seated, controlled environment.

At our level a crowd of 2000 is more or less a socially distanced friendly match or well attended Checkatrade game so whilst not great won’t feel ridiculously awful. If we can start getting 4000 in we’re in the realms of paying customers.
The logic does start to unravel when you consider Salford City and Manchester United both being able to accommodate the same number of fans, but it’s far better than nothing.

That's a lot harder to manage than people in a seated, controlled environment. Yes this is the big issue to consider. It’s people coming from different areas, mixing (all be it distanced) then going back to home towns that is the issue Maybe less of an issue for Town but many sides draw their fan base from long distance away from their home ground particularly in top two leagues Been off here for long time due to work and definitely a willingness to get fans back to sports events locally, but concern about people from different areas mixing is behind any delay Also moving into Christmas support staff like police, medical teams might be needed elsewhere delivering other aspects of the Covid response

We are likely to be in tier three when the lockdown ends and I’m pretty sure those of you who can go won’t really be enthusiastic to see me there!!!!

If what Boris has said about Tiers being assessed on a regional basis rather than locally, I fear that we might well be in Tier 3 as well Sheila. Certainly in Tier 2.

The good news for you all is that, if we are in Tier 3, we shouldn’t travel out of our area anyway!! We are expecting Tier three because we were due to go into it just before the lockdown.
I fear if it is regional you may well be lumped in with the West Mids. We will see.

Where does everyone suddenly get the idea that Shropshire is likely to go into Tier 3 after lockdown?

Where does everyone suddenly get the idea that Shropshire is likely to go into Tier 3 after lockdown? We have only been in Tier 1 Because Boris stated that the new Tiers will be based on regions, not localities. If we are lumped in with West Midlands we are a certain Tier 2 and a possible Tier 3.

We will have to wait and see, but there is a big difference between 'West Midlands' the county and 'West Midlands the entire region.

According to latest reports we (Cheshire West & Chester) are at risk of going into tier 3.
