Brilliant..... before even MY time! Note also the permanent features - Severn Junction signal-box (thankfully still with us), and the railway sidings overlooking the ground.... the EX-GWR loco (a County?) adds to the scene! Did we win?

Great clip by the way. Amazing that it exists, a few years back I tried to find footage of Arthur Rowley and could only locate about 2 seconds of him scoring for Leicester.

Did we win? when i started on british rail in 1990, they gave me a tour of severn bridge junction just before it was due to be closed, the new power box was already wired up on platform 3 and the date was set, cant remember the exact reason why it didnt all happen but i did pop up the box many times after, if i remember right there was 181 levers, mostly white ( which means no longer in use ). amazingly severn bridge, abbey foregate, crewe junction (above the bridge in castle forgate) and sutton bridge all still remain open , hard to believe considering boxes all down most lines have long been closed

No Wakeman stand, just terracing. Centre and Station stands 2 separate stands with terracing in front.
Not long after I started going all 3 stands were being made into the 1 with seating right down to the pitch. (1981 I think that was).

I think the loco has the outline of a tank engine and possibly the tender belongs to an engine behind it. Hard to make it out. I doubt it’s a County though, they had larger tenders.

Almost certainly not a "County" in retrospect - given the location, more likely a "Hall", or possibly a "Grange"
