No brainer - anything from the equally brilliant Wilko Johnson, Ian Dury or the wonderful Nine Below Zero

Depends on my mood and whether I'm alone in the car.
On my own in decent mood either The Clash or The Jam.
In a grumpy mood it's got to be something more chilled like Paul Simon, slows me down and helps me to keep my licence.
If the missus is with me I tend to put one of our Spotify mixes on, bits of stuff we both like. Either that or just have Sloppy Radio on or Absolute, not on Sunday mornings though, because Frank Skinner does my bloody fruit.

I don't have music specifically for driving but tend to play one or two things repeatedly until something else comes along.
For several months I hardly played anything but Scott Walker. I haven't driven nearly as much this year and recently it's been The Doors' 'Strange Days' album - or the songs I know best from it, William Doyle's magnificent 'Your Wilderness Revisited' album from 2019 or a recent freebie from Mojo or Uncut with great tracks by Fontaines DC, Flaming Lips & Shirley Collins, amongst others.
If I'm not on my own, it's more likely to be cricket or football commentary/chat, 6Music or, if my wife's at the controls, 5Live.

Depends what I've just bought - mostly listen to the same stuff a lot, and then move onto new stuff.
Right now, it's the fairly decent new album by The Killers - a bit MOR but some quite catchy tunes, the rather fine, Pixies-style loud/quiet new album by Biffy Clyro, or the absolutely outstanding, once in a generation folk punk classic, new album by the Levellers.

I am increasingly putting Classic FM on the car radio. Not got a digital radio in car, finding Radio2 annoying unless it’s Popmaster time. Just depends what’s on Radio4. Rarely drive very far anyway

I like a mix of music and local chat so I tend to listen to radio Shrop. If I’m driving at night ( which isn’t very often these days) I might listen to Smooth without the ads.
