If it 1st come 1st get, then maybe those that bought their season ticket earliest without knowing if games were going to permit fans should get first dibs. It would sort of reward them for supporting the club financially. how about those who bought tickets after the early bird thus giving the club more money ?

Matron is of the belief that Boris uses B and A.

It would sort of reward them for supporting the club financially. That's a very fair suggestion, offer a ticket to the first 1000 who bought season tickets for this season. Otherwise, a simple lottery for all those who express an interest in attending, including myself would seen sensible, with print at home or collect on the day for any like me who live 200 miles away. Anyway, let's get selected for the trial first before we worry about anything else.

Or not get the trial, then watch NWM tick like a clock again, or get the trial and watch NWM tick like a clock again, or just have a sweepstake about the next subject NWM will tick like a clock again. get guesses in quick you don’t have long.......

That is one view, but they extended and extended the deadline (don't know for sure) so haven't most paid the same? Still think that those that bought first were perhaps taking the biggest gamble etc.

how about the 1000 who live nearest the ground ? it will narrow the risk for the spread of the virus during travelling, and reduce the carbon footprint at the same time i'm a couple of hundred yards away who next to come up with a plan that suits themselves ? ;-) Mr Abraham to suggest alphabetically ? Scooter to suggest oldest first ;-) Matron to suggest NHS workers ? Block 19 to suggest singers ? family stand to suggest kids and so on

I'm in that category, but I'm not sure that should prioritize me any more than Sovereign Club Members should be prioritized just because they pay more for their seat. There's no easy solution. Let's just hope BC and his team are given sufficient time to sort something out if we are in fact accepted for the pilot scheme.

And at least billynomates has only posted on here twice in the last 3 months - both posts attacking me interestingly enough. But there's no excuse for Downie.

I’m genuinely not bothered about going this Saturday if the opportunity arose, I’d rather go to a non league game and that’s what I’m planning anyway, so that’s one less season ticket holder the ticket office need to think about.

Football is a social thing for me, so if I've got a ticket and people I sit by haven't, I'd rather not bother.

I am a bit of a numpty when it comes to anything to do with finance - but how does letting in a thousand season ticket holders in to the game on Saturday help the club out financially? They have already paid for their ticket and i am assuming extra costs will be incurred with regard to stewarding etc?

1 for bizzy 2 for mallet
8 for block 19
easy ;-)

Hoping some of those 1000 will help get to 3000 sooner rather than later, If as a club we can demonstrate that we can handle 50% capacity, then we will be close to the number of attendees of home support as a normal season game, how many times over last 5 years have we had more than 5000 home fans in?? it will also have the casual spend.....

And being in a sparse socially distanced crowd won’t be much fun.

Keep up the criticism NWM, the bootlickers are rattled! we already have several anti gov posts full of spam as it is this thread has given us the light at the end of the tunnel we've been hoping for even at this late stage, what good is moaning about it going to do ? Weird how people are prone to talking quite a lot about this global pandemic that's affected pretty much every aspect of day-to-day life, eh.

The usual amount of notice given by the government. Virtually none. 5 minutes notice to get a football game sorted, but when the cases are rising and we need to get it under control we’re all allowed one last weekend before the ‘rule of 6’... The next few days could be shambolic so very much a wait and see, and no blame attached to the club from a position they can’t really win from. You’d hope that they’ve already given some thought to how they’d work with a 1000 crowd though, although the lack of notice will hinder even the best laid plans.

I’m sure the club will have already given some thought as how to prioritise. There will be some people disappointed but don’t the the club grief, they’ve done their best in very difficult circumstances.

I'd be surprised if anyone could legitimately claim to be disappointed if they miss out on a random ballot, and can't see how town can possibly come out of this with anything other than great credit given the incredible efforts they've made to try and be part of this pilot.
