www.aljazeera.com/news/2020/08/price-china-threatens-czech-official-taiwan-visit-200831011134432.html"Top Chinese diplomat Wang Yi said Czech senate speaker Milos Vystrcil would "pay a heavy price" for violating the so-called "One China" principle by making an official visit to Taiwan, the Chinese foreign ministry said in a statement on Monday" "Vystrcil arrived in Taipei on Sunday with a delegation of 90 people including the mayor of Prague on a trip designed to promote business links with Taiwan, which China claims as its own and tries to isolate on the world stage. He said the Czech Republic would not bow to objections from Beijing, which considers the democratically-ruled island a breakaway province. China's state media quoted Wang saying the visit was a "provocation" and that Taiwan was an "inseparable part of China". It is the second high-profile visit by a foreign delegation to the island in a fortnight, after a visit by US Health Secretary Alex Azar. Vystrcil is expected to deliver a speech in Taiwan's parliament and meet President Tsai Ing-wen during the five-day trip, which continues until September 4." the EU is desperate for a trade deal with China so i doubt they will be happy about his visit.

consdering the mess the world is in the last thing we wont is an esculation of tensions between these two countries. cycnical i cant help feel border conflicts defelct attention from covid-19 and the way china has handled it. www.aljazeera.com/news/2020/09/indian-special-forces-member-killed-china-border-skirmish-200902010505237.html"A soldier of Tibetan origin with India's special forces has reportedly been killed in the latest border confrontation between India and China on their contested Himalayan border, fuelling concerns of a wider military confrontation between the two regional powers. The death is the first reported from two incidents occurring within 48 hours on the border, two months after a battle that left at least 20 Indian soldiers dead. India and China, which fought a border war in 1962, have each accused the other of trying to cross their unofficial frontier in the Ladakh region in an attempt to gain territory"

www.aljazeera.com/news/2020/9/24/china-running-380-detention-centres-in-xinjiang-researchers"China’s network of detention centres in the northwest Xinjiang region is much bigger than previously thought and is being expanded, even as Beijing says it is winding down a “re-education” programme for ethnic Uighurs that has been condemned internationally, new research released by an Australian think-tank showed on Thursday. The Australian Strategic Policy Institute (ASPI) said it had identified more than 380 “suspected detention facilities” in the region, where the United Nations says more than one million Uighurs and other mostly Muslim Turkic-speaking residents have been held in recent years."

China, the biggest rogue state of all. Only slightly ahead of the USA, with the UK trying to make up lost ground. I forgot the USA and UK lock up millions of minorities in camps to brainwash them. Forgot we’re a dictatorship. Forgot we have state controlled media and internet. Us and the USA might not be perfect, but to compare us or even put close to China is an incredible thing to say

Forgot we have state controlled media and internet. Us and the USA might not be perfect, but to compare us or even put close to China is an incredible thing to say ICE camps in the USA forcing sterilisation and in some cases hysterectomies on migrant women is a crime against humanity.
ICE camps leaving kids as young as a few months in the care of unrelated older children when they have been taken away from their parents is nothing short of child abuse.
Trump is already making preparations to stay in the White House no matter how much he loses by in November, is looking to change the law on term limits and is filling the Supreme Court with Christian fundamentalists, his biggest base.
The right to legal abortions in the US is hanging by a thread, but once that baby is born it and its parents are on their own.
These are just a few off the top of my head.
The UK government is attempting to bring in new laws that allow MI5 and police informants to commit crimes in the process of gaining information about other criminals, even potentially serious violence and perhaps murder.
We also want to 'protect' our armed forces personnel from being investigated for war crimes after 5 years.
We have an Attorney General that thinks the UK breaking international law is acceptable.
Again just a few off the top of my head.
Yes, there are other countries that are substantially worse than us. India that has a right wing nationalist government, Israel also does, as do Brazil, the Philippines and Turkey. That's before I even look at countries like Saudi Arabia. Funny how every one of these regimes is supported by the UK and US governments.
So no, we are nowhere near the top of the list, but we are giving our full support to many of the countries that are above us and to my mind that is equally disturbing.

the uk and the usa have a lot of faults and long way from the transparency of Denamark but to compare them to China i find staggering.the chinese are forcibly removing children for there ethnic minoritys to re educate them into model chinese citizens and remove them from any islamic influence, acts of cultural genocide has been carried out in tibet for 70 years.christens are persecuted and priests arrested churches are defiled.

Elephant in the room is that they're also responsible for over 1,000,000 deaths and counting through Covid-19, as well as countless other diseases they've unleashed on eastern Asia especially.
I'd imagine there's a pretty serious crime in there somewhere, starting with executing their own doctors for daring to raise the Covid-19 alarm early on.
Despicable deplorable abhorrent regime
