Former England defender Sol Campbell has left his role as manager of Southend United by mutual consent. So what next for him? to be fair, so far he's not had the easiest 2 clubs to manage... www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/53234423

Interesting to compare the managerial opportunities he has had with the rather grander ones afforded to some of his England teammates. There is nothing wrong with working your way up from the bottom in management (Martin O'Neill comes to mind)but Campbell seems to have been handed a couple of hospital passes with his two jobs. Lets hope we see him again in management at a more stable club.

If it was Sol's choice he'd be England manager, Liverpool manager and Man City manager all at once.
He rates himself that highly.

Did a fine job at Macclesfield but Southend proved to be a basket case too far.
He deserves a chance with a stable club , although he might be too expensive for many.

I could quite easily fit him and Paul Hurst into the same Snake Basket!

I can see him in competition with Hurst for the Wrexham job before too long.

I think he might have to wait a while before he's hooked up again anyhow. Must be difficult for clubs, players and managers at the moment with so much uncertainty around the game. I wouldn't want him anywhere near Town but fair play I guess, he's not done too bad at possibly two of the worse managerial positions going in the 92. Macc for sure.

Raheem Sterling thinks he should have a top job, but don’t know who’s going to give him one.

Raheem Sterling thinks he should have a top job, but don’t know who’s going to give him one. Sterling would want that, it's not shock. Campbell rates himself so highly it's unbelievable, he's had a chip on his shoulder all his life.
