Bit more underwhelming than Kieron O'Hara that has been mentioned on twitter. Another player who has never played a minute of league football....

If we sign some or all of McAleny, Jordan Clark and Devante Cole, I won't be unhappy. Clark signed for Luton. Good move for him Good player was Clark, was always a bit surprised by how infrequently Mellon played him. Admittedly had real competition in his position in the promotion season.

Jordan Clarke by all accounts had a very good season for Accrington and not too dissimilar to our own Josh Laurent now gets an opportunity to play at championship level. How successful they both will be, only time will tell.

Given weve got Burgoyne and Gregory I would think we would be on the look out for another keeper who would challenge Burgoyne for first team - and that seems to be a loan keeper from recent seasons.

We could be in for O'Hara and the club didn't like his name mentioned by fans on a picture that isn't him. For arguments sake someone searches his name on twitter those images with town would show up because of the comments, it may not be him but it may also put another team onto him.

Wouldn't surprise me if O'Hara is on a list of keepers to keep an eye on, as he is someone who is available with good experience at our level. But then he is probably on a list for most of league 1 or championship clubs too that are on the look out for a keeper

I wonder if Conor is Sam's number one choice? Wouldn't we love to know whose on the list 😉

I'm not a member of the McAleny fan club. Thinks he's nearly 28 so should be around the peak of his career but hasn't scored enough goals in his career. Mind you, unless there's a major tactical overhaul we could spend half a million on a new striker and still have about the worst scoring record in the league.

I thought McAleny was more of an attacking midfielder.

Will Grigg would be nice.

I thought McAleny was more of an attacking midfielder. Me too. Reading between the lines I would suggest that the manager is looking to recruit more attacking options for next season. Talking about attacking midfielder's, I notice that Bobby Grant has moved again, this time to Oldham.

Maybe Shrewsbury is the peak of his career? Worth taking him on if that was the case.

Can't see us paying for permanent transfer as he would easily command our record fee, and plenty of other admirers willing to pay more in fees and wages I would imagine. It's easy for Sam to say we are interested but you have to be realistic Only chance I think would be that he doesn't receive any offers he is interested in or meet Rangers valuation and so going to a club on loan that he knows he is going to be firmly in the first XI. But I still heavily doubt it

A lot of talk that Rangers are asking for around £200,000 for Doc. Can't say I expect us to pay that much with everything going on, but do think it would be a very sound investment.

You'd hope a 3 year deal and put a selling value at 500,000 plus. Doc's someone I'd be grabbing more than MacAleny and I'd rather we'd have him that Hull

Fingers crossed a 3 year deal may just swing it in our favour.

I'd love it if we could pull of Docherty. I don't think it'll happen though. You'd have thought a championship club would come in for him.

I think getting Docherty in would bring some excitement that we need. Yes it’ll cost a fee but the rumoured £200k seems do-able. What RW does look at is if he can make a decent profit on a player... He’s more than proven at this level!

I'm surprised that Hibs haven't gone back in for him after he impressed on loan with them last season.

if Ricketts is going for a more attacking style of football and who who knowes it is just speculation. it will be intresting to see what formation we will go with. somone who can take a decent corner and free kick would be a welcome addition.
