Mark Duffy ๐ We might get him one day ๐
Too late. Our chance came when he was playing for Southport and someone on B&A recommended him to the Club, only to be given short shrift.

Apparently Dundee have offered 250k, now can't see us doing that but he's got an impressive goalscoring record...

Apparently Dundee have offered 250k, now can't see us doing that but he's got an impressive goalscoring record... consider how much money the club have lost with covid-19 , i would have thought that amount of money would be a non starter. also any club with money might pick up some good players at more reasonable prices.also his salary could be another factor. www.thecourier.co.uk/fp/sport/football/dundee-fc/313705/dundee-fifth-highest-wage-payers-scottish-premiership/"The 2016 Sporting Intelligence Global Sports Salaries Survey puts the average annual basic first team pay for the Dark Blues at ยฃ61,837." This is four years ago and Dundee were in the Scottish premership at the time.as they have just been promoted back into the Scottish premership you would think the wage bill will go up.so you would think he would get a pay rise if he went there. www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/football/football-transfer-news/kevin-nisbet-set-second-dundee-22210093"The Premiership new boys tabled the offer on Tuesday which also included add ons, but was turned down by the Pars as they held out for more cash." "Nisbet has also been linked with English sides Portsmouth and Shrewsbury but he is keen to play in the Premiership, where Hibs are also keen but they are working under desperate financial restrictions. The problem Dunfermline have is that their prize asset is out of contract next summer and they could lose for nothing this time next year."

Looks pretty exciting. Would expect somebody with a record like that would have bigger clubs than us interested. Definitely the sort of player we need to be looking at.

Definitely the sort of player we need to be looking at. i agree he is; but we did not after the other goalscorer from Scotland who's club wanted the same price for him, also not that long ago Ricketts gave an interview saying he did not know what level of funding would be available for him in the transfer market. if we did get him it would be a sign of intent from town

Surely this is the year to splash the cash. Rolandโs master plan to build a war chest for such an event as were now suffering means with this and the financial support clubs will receive to survive Puts us in a relatively strong financial position must count for something.
Perhaps we should go for this Daniel Rashford whoโs in the news ๐

Not as bad as many for sure but i guess money is still quite tight at Montgomery Towers right now, we shouldnt forget that.

The problem Dunfermline have is that their prize asset is out of contract next summer and they could lose for nothing this time next year." Interesting information in that report, although admittedly 4 years old. With Dundee paying an average player wage of ยฃ61k highlights the disparity between the English and Scottish game and just how much Sky contribute to the PL & EFL. Worth comparing the figures to what we have paid in the last financial accounts-: Salaries ยฃ3,740,000 Staff Players 49 Admin 36 Other 39 Stewards & Security 86 Have to assume that all stewards and security are match day only and would imagine that a fair number of the "other" staff are match day bar and catering staff. Which suggests that a fair number of our senior playing squad are on very good money, in comparison to the ordinary working man. Question is does anyone know how much?

Greg Docherty anyone?

Docherty's move to Hibs was on loan and he is now back at Rangers. What chance does he have to make it to the first team? It seems that Gerrard doesnt fancy him so will it be another loan out or will he move on somewhere permanently?
Come on Brian Caldwell do your stuff!!

Glittering bargains may be available, but you have no idea when the club might have an income again.

By all accounts Docherty did well during his loan spell at Hibs.
I'm sure they would have him back if only they could afford him.

I genuinely can't believe someone suggests we splash the cash after what's gone on the past 12 weeks.
