He's died aged 79. Coronavirus was present.
A very gifted comedian. R.I.P.

I’m Sorry I Haven’t a Clue, my favourite radio comedy of all time, ( writes a Mrs Trellis of North Wales).

Shocked and upset to hear this news. Such a talented, warm and funny man.
There was a moment in "I'm Sorry I Haven't A Clue" some years back when TB-T became tongue tied and spouted some gibberish and Graeme Garden, with immaculate timing, cut in with a newsreader's delivery, "the comedian, Tim Brooke-Taylor, who died today".
It was perfect and, tragically, today it's true.
RIP

My school friend Anne and I were huge fans of “I’m Sorry I’ll Read That Again”, the critic in the Shropshire Star didn’t get it, so we wrote a lengthy letter to the paper putting them right! RIP

He will forever be named as the scapegoat for us losing to West Germany in the 1970 World Cup after Gordon Banks had been sidelined by a mystery illness. Not fair though. He was a brilliant keeper in his own right. R.I.P.

"scapegoat after Gordon Banks had been sidelined by a mystery illness". - Covid - 69?
I remember Peter Bonetti as a great keeper. Perhaps I was too young to think anything other than that of him. RIP.
