Blimey. Not only the PM, but the MP for Rochdale, Tony LLoyd, is also in hospital with coronavirus. My very best wishes to both, and to everyone else suffering from this terrible virus. Get well soon all of you.

I wish him a quick and full recovery and the same for sufferers everywhere.
I read that Marianne Faithfull has also been hospitalised with the virus. She’s had some bad health problems and I hope she gets through this.
Tragic to read of these front line workers being taken by it.

what is most shocking about this is how he didn't really seem to have it bad, and how long it is since he developed the symptoms and now how it seems to have gotten worse, and how it spreads is frightening, I heard a tiger was tested positive for it yesterday , if this spreads to the likes of cats and dogs where will it end ?
I expect it won't be long before we hear about high numbers of suicide and even suicide pacts
its getting more and more like a zombie movie by the day

I expect it won't be long before we hear about high numbers of suicide and even suicide pacts its getting more and more like a zombie movie by the day Got to take heart from the fact it apparently came from another species, so other species can get it but not be affected in the same way or to the same extent. It seems to be that in most people our own immune system deals with it as a fever, but in some this doesn't go well and fluid keeps building up problems in the throat and lungs. That's apparently why people seem to be mildly affected for 10 days or so, but then carry on getting worse. Ventilators are not a cure though, just a means of keeping you going while your body fights. There's work and trials going on all the time. In the past SARs was going to be a biggie, but the one that worried me was Ebola - that has been tamed to a large extent, so can Coronavirus be.

I would imagine that the 'normal' flu and other contagious virus should all be getting hammered by our lockdown procedure , will be interesting seeing the stats in a few years

Best wishes to Boris for a full recovery. Hopefully he wont try to get back working too soon but from a selfish point of view hope its not too long because I feel he was doing a very good job. Not too much confidence in his deputy who at press conferences looks like a rabbit caught in the car headlights.

There is currently little political difference between the parties and just one goal.
