Ive got the dvd of the final v Aldershot. It seemed an awful game being there and nervous as hell about the outcome. Watched it once a few years ago, guess what it was even worse. Standard off football from both sides was dismal at best. To be fair, there's a decent video on YouTube with about 10 minutes worth of highlights from that game. Last time I watched that was a couple of months back when I was showing Duane Darby the video in the bar at Redditch FC 😂 10 mins is about as much as its worth of quality footage, the 2 goals and 9 mins of penalties and thats about it. My dvd was the full length, good bedtime viewing!

That's the one I'm looking for!! I used to have it but unfortunately it's got lost. Is there any chance that you're willing to sell and if not, could I lend it so that I can burn a second copy for myself?? Could meet you on a matchday and buy you some drinks pre match just so that you know my face and for trust purposes? I should be able to burn a copy and mail it to you. Give me a couple of days to sort it out and I’ll PM you. Would you possibly be able to burn myself a copy too? Will obviously pay for your time mate. I used to have to the dvd but it must have been lost during a house move, or the Mrs binned it.

Went to one of the poshest pubs I've ever stepped foot in beforehand which was about 5 miles away from the stadium in a small rural village. Lovely meal! Arrived into Sixfields about 10 minutes before kick off and watched us take Northampton apart without really hitting our full potential. Think we were 4-1 up at HT

I'm loving the Youtube stuff - nice mix so far of fond memories of recent times and glimpses at a Town I've heard lots of and yet never seen (basically anything pre-2004)! Absolutely loving it! So yeah, if the Club or anyone has anything else they are happy (and it's legal ofc) to share, I'm all for it!

Sorry for my ignorance, but what was there any importance to the Plymouth game 2001 and bury game 2002?

It was a bout trying to spread the highlights out over different eras so fans can see as many players in a game that have not been on line interspursed with the classics everyone wants to see.
The Plymouth game was picked as it was a win against a team with 10 men that went on to get 102 points and win the league! A very fun opening day win.
The Bury game was picked for Jemos hatrick and it was a game where we almost got back to 4-4 from 4-0 down which would have been historic. It was also a glimpse into the start of the relegation season and the signs of where it was going wrong.
Sunday we have the Home game vs Oxford 2-2 at the new meadow... well remembered by lots of fans... the un beaten run at home. GT.... Its about some variety as well as just reveling in wins...

Sorry to have to give bad news to everyone who asked me to burn copies of the Conference season highlights. I gave the DVD to my son in law who is an IT boffin an he was unable to make a playable copy as the original disc has anti piracy software protection.
Sorry to disappoint.

Appreciate you trying nonetheless! 👍

If i remember right we went onto do the double over Plymouth that won the title with over 100 points that season by winning the reverse fixture - also with only 10 men. Remember the Riverside singing "10 men, we only need 10 men" like it were yesterday.

Betamax...now that made me smile 😃 we had one! Betamax was the better quality for recording, but the rental shops majored on VHS. I got burgled and they nicked my Betamax recorder, bet they had a problem selling that, serves them right. There was a ‘Phillips’ version, Phillips 2000 which arguably was better than both.... we were the only family I knew who opted for it, my Dad used it for years but couldn’t get new tapes www.radios-tv.co.uk/philips-vr2022-video-2000/

I've emailed Brian Caldwell this morning to see if there's any chance that the club can put the Conference season out on DVD in the club shop.
He's going to make some enquires with the media team. Obviously there's a fair few on this thread alone that want a copy, here's hoping 🤞

At the time I was travelling to Nigeria a couple of times a year and my ex pat colleagues there were starved of entertainment, so I would take a suitcase full of tapes we had recorded for them off TV. Had a lot of 'fun' getting them through Nigerian customs.
