not yet, but I will for sure
its got me thinking about conspiracies again though, I recently watched the White House farm mini series and how Jeremy Bamber wiped out his family with a shotgun, how about this virus for an opportunity for a sinister young kid to earn themselves some inheritance, and get away with it

London is currently the hotspot, you will be ok, take care. Cut down on watching those serial killer programmes if you can too. Your duty now is to keep going, I don't know your personal circumstances, but you need to achieve retirement at some time and enjoy many years of taking the pension you have earned.

I wasn't really worrying, just thinking out loud lol I haven't watched a lot recently, watched a doc on small pox and how it was wiped out, except it wasn't as usa and Russia both kept 1 sample each, which by now may have been replicated and could be in anyones hands, in any case has been proved by a scientist that it could be man made again anyway without the full samples I discovered the word Vaccine originated from the Small Pox problem as there was a similar disease which effected cows called Cowpox, people noticed that milk maids were not getting small pox and wondered why, the year was almost 1800 so tests involved infecting a young boy with the cow pox and he got a small rash from it, and then attempting to give him smallpox. ( nice ), except he was now immune, during the 70s it was wiped out in Africa in an enormous operation as it was still rife there and only there, and finally they did it, but the last person to die from the disease was in our own Birmingham , late 70s, a scientist working one floor above where smallpox was still being researched, the virus had escaped, someone topped themself over this , if you look at photos of victims, this is a horrifying thing to catch

I’ve reached retirement age and am / was about to retire... Motorhome bought joined the Caravan and Camping Club and Motorhome and Caravan Club... Britstop purchased and ready to go (once the footy finished) Now carrying on at work (from home) to try and keep me sane... Motorhome looks good on the drive mind and I did manage to do the NC500 a couple of weeks ago but as you say got to stay positive and avoid too much news (once a day)

Been reading some interesting conspiracy theories about the virus. I’ve also asked all of my friends if they know of anyone who’s had the virus. Nobody has. Nearly 250000 cases across the world, and so far nobody on blue and amber knows of anyone. Using the theory of we’re connected to anybody on the earth by only 7 people that’s interesting. So far I’ve heard, a prime minister, a Hollywood actor and a premier league manager.

I was on the tube earlier in the week. Not nice. That’s the only time I felt vulnerable. Did 3 days then bailed yesterday to come back to the Shrews. Feel a lot happier here but the people here are weirdly a lot more scared than in London.

If anecdotal evidence is important to you, a colleague of mine's elderly father in law is in hospital with it, plus I've been informed today that 3 people who work for a client of my firm's in Wolverhampton are off with it (that was a fun ring round the two people in my team who've been working with them earlier on). A mate of a mate in Paris is also recovering from it. The fact is, the number of confirmed cases is vanishingly small as a proportion of the population because we're only now testing people in critical condition in hospital. Celebrities are more highly represented, I suspect, owing to access to private healthcare where on demand testing might be available. For Christ's sake don't let this lull you into thinking this is a false flag or some other tin foil hat nonsense (or just not a big deal). The heightened concern is around what's coming down the tracks more than what the situation is now.

Thankfully, I live in a small village in Mid Cork, but I still believe people I know will catch Covid 19. What scares me is the UK has an idiot for a Prime Minster who is playing Brexit politics with peoples lives! I.e." If Germany, Italy and France are shutting down everything then we won't"! Good luck to everyone in the U.K., you are going to need it!

Personally, I don't know anyone who has the virus, nor do my family, nor my close friends. At work today (dare I say that?) my friends and colleagues also didn't seem to know anyone with virus. Of course this may change, but people can only discuss what is happening to them now, and talk about their own experiences. It doesn't mean it's not happening. And I am guessing all these people you know have had tests?

It's that exponential growth curve that matters. Numbers can go up so quickly - quickly enough to choke the health service, just like panic buying choked the supermarket supply chain. All measures everywhere have the aim of just slowing down the curve so we can cope with those who need specialist treatment.
So don't scoff at the low figures, or think it's a London problem, just buckle down and try to keep that growth curve low, with a bit of luck the seasonal flu cases will diminish and allow the health service to just about cope, but we all have our part to play.

I dont see how critisizing anyone helps, fact is no one really knows where this is going or when or how it ends, not even the experts, many Chinese whispers about, some of the comments that sound daft might turn out to be spot on once we look back further down the line

There are many more people who probably have this than is being reported. Alot of people will deny that they have anything wrong for many reasons, they don't believe it, they think its something else, it won't happen to them, and they cannot afford to stop working. So just because you don't know someone who has held their hands up doesn't mean you don't know someone who has it or has had it.

If our hospital beds stay empty then that's great, it was all hype. But if it isn't overblpwn then our hospitals could go the same way as our supermarkets in a week. It's not like we can stick people in a corridor waiting for a bed with this one.

i cant remeber the exact quote i did post it but cant find it but this doctor who works in the london school of medicine, said somthing like; consider how you behave as if you have got the virus rather than trying to prevent cathching it and behave acordingly. we can all make a difference by how we behave in self distancing , regular hand washing , using contacless payments, taking care of / supporting our elderly neighbouers who may not have a family www.sbs.com.au/news/italians-send-powerful-messages-to-the-world-about-what-they-wish-they-d-known-10-days-agotake on board these messages. there are numerous forums for people who are struggling with this, if you follow a faith then you will find that they are producing online services for you. at times like this we will see the worst or best in people.

Bare in mind there’s about 3000 (most in London) confirmed cases in a country of 66 million people and is it really a surprise that people don’t know someone who has it?

I found out this week that the first person to die of it in Shropshire is the mother of brothers who played in our Hospitals Sunday football team. I didn’t personally know her, but as I say, knew her sons.

This virus is rampant in our society. The number of people who have it is much more than the figures given. They are only testing a small percentage. If you are ill dont take the risk of spreading it. We need to be sensible and protect the elderly and vulnerable. We all have family who are vulnerable, do the sensible thing.

I had quite bad breathing problems last week or so which seems to be getting better by the day, more likely anxiety, ideally it was a very mild corona but thats wishful thinking, no way of knowing at the moment though, we dont even know if you can catch it twice yet do we ?
