so we will probably not have any more football this season and considering what is going on in the world football does not seem very important. so what are you doing or will be doing instead ?
my welsh is rather rusty so i have joined dulingo i had purchased an exercise bike to keep as active as possible when the weather was to bad to go for walks, the tour de france has nothing to worry about but i am up to three and half miles. my wife bought me some jigswas for christmas i have just started playing Mahjong on my computure it is rather addictive and half an hour has gone rather quickly. i do regular walks so no change on that front.
i look at my list and think wow i am really living on the edge!!!!!!!!!!

With the Health Secretary suggesting that over 70s will have to self isolate for months it’s not just finding something to do on Saturdays I’m concerned about.

I’ve started helping the wife with cooking . Part of the enjoyment is in making marvelous soups from all sorts of veg and herbs and spices . Recipe’s for everyone’s taste on the internet . I’ve always made bread by hand and will up my production rate. I’m 70 so expect to be told to stay indoors . My wife and me are supposed to be going to the Old Market Hall tomorrow to see the film Parasite. I think we may give it a miss . Books galore to read in the house and there’s always Netflix to look at . I think we will be getting excercise by walking at Nescliffe away from everyone but I fear lots will have the same idea. Whatever I truly hope we all keep safe and healthy . There’s always this message board to keep me entertained.

I have taken up singing, it's a great way to achieve self-isolation.

No idea.
The cricket season is now under threat too.

No idea. The cricket season is now under threat too. You'd think cricket is the one sport which could quite easily be played still. Just make sure your slips are wider apart then six foot and it's good to go!

More reading. I have an exam towards the end of next month. So the enforced extra free time will be welcome.

I need to lose weight. Stopping nearly everything I go out out to do will mean I will drink less beer, anyway

I didn't think I had enough time left to read all my books, listen to all my music and watch all my DVDs.
Perhaps I might.
Thank God we're just going into spring and I can work (and hopefully sit in) the garden. If the clocks were about to go back instead of forward it would be almost unbearably grim.

I watched the final of the snooker Gibraltar open last night, no crowd allowed to attend, just the players, the ref and cameraman. Even though the audience are normally quiet it was very strange to watch.

Getting the garden sorted, cleaning the patio and painting the fences and shed. Taking dogs for good long walks. Then there will be shopping for my elderly mother and neighbour be it in person or online. And if time after all that finish off sorting spare bedroom which is next phase of decluttering.

Just had to cancel juniors Winter cricket nets.....so that’s another empty evening.
If the weather improves I’ll try and get the boat out.

I’ve just cut the front and back lawns . I’m hoping they grow like buggery so that I can cut them again before Saturday . I’m walking up the Longmynd tomorrow and Nescliffe possibly Thursday . Anything to keep myself occupied but safe . I’ve really discovered radio 3/4 , some excellent prongs. on radio. I’m in for the long haul together with everyone else . We will get through this without a doubt but our world will be changed forever . We will certainly need to look very closely at becoming more self sufficient, to producing more of our own food . Could this horrendous situation signal the end of globalization?

Could this horrendous situation signal the end of globalization? No What a marvelously succinct response. Would you care to expand a little so that I don’t get the impression that you haven’t a clue what you’re on about . In short , and I know that you like short , lighten my darkness .You know you want to .

I will be falling over, apparently, bridge of nose. forehead and under nose looking a mess. all after hand bleeding in an altercation with a piece of rough plastic on a Waitrose trolley earlier - not my day. I will be self isolating until I don't look like I have just done 10 rounds with Mike Tyson. Thankfully no visit to A&E required, just spoiled my good looks.

Could this horrendous situation signal the end of globalization? Waiting for the lawn to grow so you can cut it again? Stir crazy already! Anyway, stick all this green stuff in the compost bin and watch nature take it's course, just like it's doing to curb our excessive air travel, mass rush hour travel and over population.

Sorting out suit cases full of old family photos I have inherited. Some go back to before the WW1 so it’s going to be interesting trying to find out who they are.
Looking back at family history can be interesting and can be done on line.
