I've been speaking to Aston Villa, West Brom, Crewe and Sheffield United fans in Hooters earlier who've all decided to come today for some footy. Personally I don't see it as irresponsible travel as the government said to not postpone games. Unless you're self isolating yourself, then don't lecture people on their own choices! Firstly I didn’t mention you. Secondly you yourself brought up the fact it was rammed on the train and everyone was in close proximity to each other.... The virus will spread more if people travel and mix more simple... the advice has been to keep space between people to stop the spread.... Unfortunately that just was impossible to happen as Midland Rail never lay on enough carriages. It's the same every Saturday! Can't run a p**s up in a brewery that lot.

Crowded trains? Aston Villa, West Brom, Crewe and Sheffield United fans in Hooters? Anyone still think it was a good idea to cancel the EFL?
Oh well, I am sure you are all fit without underlying health problems and it should only be mild symptoms.

Unfortunately that just was impossible to happen as Midland Rail never lay on enough carriages. It's the same every Saturday! Can't run a p**s up in a brewery that lot. each carriage costs well over a million pounds, and is empty for most of the week, and there is only limited space for storing trains and also when it comes to accommodating them in certain stations/platforms/lines again length is a factor there is an enormous operation involved in planning trains and they are pretty much maxed out these days, they would all run more trains if there was room for them

It was fine to cancel the fixtures provided everyone realised it was being done for the best of reasons, I.e., to try and prevent the spread of a virus which can be fatal. The fact that this was done should be enough to tell everyone that we are facing the unknown and that the results could be dire for some.
The EFL have done what they thought correct and it is interesting to note that the government are not far behind them in making a decision re mass events.
If people choose to travel unnecessarily then that’s up to them - if they pass the virus on then it’s a problem for all of us. There are governments guidelines already about keeping a distance apart if possible.

I have just heard some health professional provide what I think is a very simple and clear reason why we should restrict our social activity . He said “ if we cut our activity , that being our social interaction by half that will mean that we cut the risk of catching or passing on the virus by half . Seems so simple if we are able to do this . By not going to football matches , using public transport when we don’t need to etc , etc then you can see that by adopting this strategy it may help us to beat this pandemic. Not a difficult decision is it really .

Not a difficult decision is it really . But a decision for individuals. For example, if they were on, maybe go to the home games, but avoid the train by not going to away games. What has happened so far is some people have made the choice to get on a crowded train and drink in crowded bars with people from all over the country.

The last couple of weeks has showed that the vast majority of the British people are a bunch of selfish tossers with little regard for anybody else.

I didn't go into stock pile mode, but I do think that if the Government want me to still turn up for work then I should be free to choose anything legal I want to do in my leasure time.

Enjoyed the 4-0 Notts County win today, decent game and atmosphere on the Kop. Hooters was a blast too!! I could go into work on Monday and pick up the virus regardless, so no point living life in fear. The government wanted games to go ahead this weekend afterall. Wouldn't really call the British public a bunch of "selfish tossers" for wanting to live life, but each to their own. Health experts want 60% of the UK public to get coronavirus to develop a 'herd immunity'anyway, think of it as us volunteering ourselves

You just don’t get it do you. It’s not about whether you catch it, it’s about whether you and all the others pass it on.

Personally I wouldn't be surprised if this virus was man made to wipe out a lot of the older population and people with health problems who are next to no good when it comes to bringing something to the table. World is already overpopulated and people living for too long, just wouldn't surprise me. What will be will be, no point in worrying about death as it happens to us all.

...and people with health problems who are next to no good when it comes to bringing something to the table... As someone who has to live with heart failure who's also contracted 'community acquired pneumonia' twice in the last 18 months, and who is a shift worker and works bloody hard for their money, words fail me... See you next Tuesday.

Only someone who has not got any older close family would ever be able to contemplate such thoughts. Even then such thoughts are just so out of step with the likely views of the average person. Still as they say it takes all sorts.

I'll tell you what ludicrous is you moaning about paying £20 to watch town play in league 1 but you'll risk your life and that of others to go and watch Notts County play in the conference for £22 "Risk your life and others" ahahaha behave Ian. Assuming you'll be self isolating for the next couple of weeks then? Personally I'm looking forward to a decent day out in Nottingham, might even go to Hooters! Quality away day is Nottingham how was hooters by the way ? I think you should change your username to 'hooters'

This idea that shoppers queue up outside the supermarket is ok in this weather. It won't be much fun when it's raining. So I guess a lot of people will wait until it's dry. Then watch the queues.
The idea of keeping two metres apart isn't new. The dragon instigated it on our honeymoon.

I’ve decided to self isolate and join Prince Charles at Balmoral . I like to think I’m doing my bit . Meanwhile I expect the Queen to open Buckingham Palace to some of the thousands of the homeless living on our Capital’s streets . Because he’s got f.ck all else to do Prince Andrew will be serving lunch .

He’s even got a place in Transylvania . It’s a pity Vlad can’t impale him .
