Boris & co have been very busy this last week or two, almost too busy to notice it was raining, here's the first draft of what they have been up to working all hours of the day.
Protect and survive
How to prepare to face a nuclear explosion Coronavirus What follows tells you how to use the protection you have provided.
Planning for survival
Stay at Home
Plan an Fall-out Room and Inner Refuge
The first priority is to provide shelter within your home against radioactive fall-out Coronavirus. Your best protection is to make a fall-out room and build an inner refuge within it.
First, the Fall-out Room shelter Because of the threat of radiation Coronavirus you and your family may need to live in this room for fourteen days after an attack, almost without leaving it at all. So you must make it as safe as you can, and equip it for your survival. Choose the place furthest from the outside walls and from the roof, or which has the smallest amount of outside wall. The further you can get, within your home, from the radioactive dust nasty germs that is on or around it, the safer you will be. Use the cellar or basement if there is one. Otherwise use a room, hall or passage on the ground floor.
PLAN YOUR SURVIVAL KIT
Food Stock enough food for fourteen days. Tissues Always carry tissues and use them to catch coughs and sneezes, and bin the tissue Washing Wash hands with soap and water, or use sanitiser gel, to kill germs

Is this a poor attempt at humor??, come on now Stafford, you have not read this anywhere have you.... you have just made this up.... What they have actually managed to come up with, after exhaustive work, is: Always carry tissues and use them to catch coughs and sneezes, and bin the tissue Wash hands with soap and water, or use sanitiser gel, to kill germs The rest is sound advice from the Protect and Survive information issued to get us all through a nuclear attack during the cold war, which, coincidently, involved staying in your home for 14 days (after that I am sure everything would have been alright).

Don’t cough into your hand, instead cough into the crux of your elbow so spores don’t stick to your hand and get transmitted so easily when you touch something.

Self important politicians like Trump do tend to touch a person's elbow when shaking hands as a show of power, so that would be ideal. Or, alternatively, cough on someone else, which gaurantees no one will come near enough to you to pass on any of their nasty viruses

To be fair to Boris, the reason why no ones seen him, is that he’s self-isolating until the next election.

Wonder if its inevitable spread will lead to postponements? Could make for an interesting run in.

Hand sanitizer doesn’t kill viruses. They invariably have a tough outer shell. Only soap and water to wash them off works. Then using hand sanitizer to kill any remaining BACTERIA 👍

Then using hand sanitizer to kill any remaining BACTERIA 👍 I thought the government's advice on gov.uk wasn't quite right, good old soap and water is best. Here's what the government says: Wash hands with soap and water, or use sanitiser gel, to kill germs. As for people who don't wash their hands after going to the toilet; dirty, dirty, people

If people start to panic then Thomas Cook will be joined by a few other companies as people avoid travelling. For example a cruise ad in the paper at £5000 yesterday, I think I would avoid even if I had £5000 lying around.
So many things might be affected, Manufacturing stuttering along as factories have to isolate. Major events cancelled. School exams disrupted. Imagine what it could do to a refugee camp.....
On the plus side, quieter on the roads and trains as anyone who can works from home as much as possible.
It's going to be a strange year.

Im sure if they think postponing a game or two will give them any possible advantage then Bolton Wanderers will look at doing it. And get away without punishment as well, precedence has already been set....

What happens if the situation changes to such an extent that all sports events are cancelled . This includes football matches as thousands of fans coming together in stadiums would greatly increase the spread of the virus . Mind you I think fans themselves would make the decision not to put themselves at risk . The season could end early with no promotion or relegation . What an uproar that would cause . A very strange sporting year ahead . In fact a very strange year ahead for us all . Who would want to go anywhere if it meant joining loads of others such as in theatres , cinemas etc , etc . If you think not schools and offices are already taking steps to prevent infection and it may escalate. The closure of Parliament even . What a predicament - who knows what will happen . First thing in the morning I’ll be off to do some serious food shopping , just to get a few extra dried goods in , make sure the freezers well stocked , you get the idea . Man the barricades I say and don’t panic , floodings the least of our worries .

The Swiss just called off all events with over 1000 people in attendance and they have just EIGHT cases! We have almost 20 now. I honestly thing in the next few weeks we will seem some measures about large public gatherings, Would be remiss of the FA/EFL not to have come contingency plans in place. Behind closed doors etc, live streams, checking players weekly? Frankly just calling off this whole season now would be fine with me

We're doomed I tell you, doomed!
Just hope it's a British company, though any company would do, that comes up with a vaccine/cure, then the happy days are here again.

In many cases, the route of infection is unknown and government advisers believe domestic transmission is taking place. There are a further 14 cases of Japanese citizens who have been evacuated from Wuhan in China, the epicentre of the coronavir" "Every school in Japan will shut from Monday in an unprecedented move that will affect 13m pupils and leave parents scrambling to find childcare as the country steps up its fight against the coronavirus. This week, Mr Abe called for the cancellation of large-scale public events such as concerts and sports matches. He has also asked companies to use teleworking and staggered opening hours as much as possible." the japanes Prime Minister Shinzo Abe has faced criticizem for the handling of this outbreak.some political comentators feel he has ramped up measuers to get ahead of this virus. i watch the Al Jazeera news service as i like the global coverage. it is intresting how the different counteries are respoinding to cornoavirus . japan now seem to be bringing in tougher measuers to try and prevent it escualting, were if i understand the uk approach it seems to be one of adjusting responces as it escalates .which seems logical my ah but thought to that approach is due to people been infectious for 14 days before sysmptoms are showing we are alway going to be behind the curve.

Being driven by fear, including fear of mutation into something more deadly. Also, only 3.4% isn't so good if you are one of the 3.4%. Can any good come out of this? Better nutrition and health practices all around the world? More teleworking, less traffic jams and crowded trains? A lot less air travel? Who needs a third Heathrow runway if that happens? More incentive to get unskilled factory jobs completed by robots, increasing productivity? A big win for any company coming up with a vaccine?

Well, allowing Thunberg to hold a mass rally in Bristol involving thousands of schoolkids doesn't seem the best of ideas. You only need one of them to have just returned from a holiday in Italy.

You would think that a 17 year old environmentalist would have new ideas about a mass social media protest that would not involve mass travel to Bristol too.
