Absolute shocker from LFC. They really have been as unhelpful as they could possibly be over this tie. Lost a lot of respect for them and for Mr Klopp. It really does feel like they've gone out of their way to be as awkward as possible. I'm sure that's not the case, but it's clear they've lost sight as a club of what the FA cup's all about.

Mind you I’ve just heard from a friend who is a Stoke fan that, when they had a night game there, they only opened two away turnstiles and the queues were horrendous. I think they just don’t care.

Ive never known a club make life so difficult. Not been supporting Shrewsbury long then?
I can't understand why having us jump through all the hoops to get tickets to the original game they are making us do the exact same thing again for the replay. Surely anyone that went on Sunday could be given access to tickets up until Saturday, with general sales on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday.
I'm pretty sure ssshrew is not talking about STFC.

No been supporting them since 1992 - not as long as many of you I know - but in that time I have never come across such an attitude from an away club. Fancy having to rely of your nearest rivals to help you out when all that was needed was a table by a turnstile.

Really having to rethink whether I actually want to attend this fixture at all. Tempted to sack it off and go to Rochdale instead. The actual game itself has been thoroughly devalued as a spectacle now and all that's left is the novelty value of playing at Anfield. The way that Liverpool have behaved over this (forget the player welfare debate, the shenanigans over the date and the refusal to allow us to distribute tickets are what's annoying me) takes the shine off it somewhat and I don't think they're the actions of a club whose stadium I would revere.

You have a point. All I can say is, I'm still gutted that I'll be away and can't make the replay. You have to go!

I hope Everton have been well compensated by Liverpool and that they’re paying our wonderful ticket office staff double time.

This winter break excuse makes no sense to me.
As I've said earlier, Liverpool rely on 9 players who are in the team for all the games they deem important. They may need a rest. That leaves another team of senior players who get very little game time and surely need minutes on the pitch, not a week playing beach football in Dubai.
How many minutes have Adrian, Matip, Lovren, Fabinho, Keita, Lallana, Milner, Origi, Shaqiri and Minamino played this season? Liverpool have been lucky with injuries so far, but their luck can change and some of these guys could have to play. No doubt Klopp will be complaining about them not being match fit!

Just to clarify please....
I can get a ticket Sunday as i have loyalty points, but need another for my Son, so its general sale Tuesday (if any left)
Does general sale mean you can do this "on line" or is it a turn up and queue at the ticket office to get one??
Cheers, just checking as it isn't clear from the club site ticket info page..

I went to collect our tickets from reception. Only about 10 in the queue outside. Reception was empty except for ssshrew and her agent, Nick, talking to SR. Now I don't want to be rude, but I've seen ssshrew play, and she's a bench warmer at best.

Thanks for the reply's, but the question re general sale on Tuesday is...
Can you buy them from the club web site, or do you need to go to the ground???
Thanks

I thought enough loyalty points enabled you to buy a +1 with yours, as long as the +1 is a registered supporter. The +1 also has to have points this season True, but if he's had tickets this season bought on his dad's number, they'll put them on his own supporter number for him so they can get their tickets at the same time.

Anyone ķnow how ticket sales are going?
Truth be told, I'm quite surprised they've left general sale until Tuesday, I thought they could have whipped through a few more bands of ST holders and loyalty points and moved to general sale by Sunday afternoon, although I guess the club are confident they'll sell them all regardless I suspect otherwise they might have offered them for sale in a different way.

Shrewsbury (and Tranmere) have already beaten the Premier League clubs, at least their respective ticket offices and our CEO have.

I'm gonna end buying scattered tickets..do you think it will be a case of people sitting where they want on the night? Should be plenty of spare seats do you think.?

I would be interested to know early next week how many tickets have been sold to Liverpool supporters. Are they willing to come out on a cold tuesday night to watch the under 23 team. Theres no doubt we will have to make up for lost income from this tie against Chelsea in the next round.

I don't support Liverpool but respect their past achievements and the quality of football their current team plays. However, for a supposedly 'socialist', community-conscious club that lives for and loves the game, these replay arrangements have been a total disgrace. It's really tainted my view of the club. There's no reason to see them as being morally any different to any other big corporate juggernaut out there.
Is it not at the very least a little embarrassing that Everton have been asked to step in to help away fans access the match? And that's without getting into the pettiness of Liverpool stonewalling the suggestion the game be played on a different date.

And that's without getting into the pettiness of Liverpool stonewalling the suggestion the game be played on a different date. Yup, spot on. Quoting an email I got from Brian Caldwell on Wednesday 'We are in discussions with Liverpool to try and get some form of collection point as they don’t normally allow for this...' So, putting two and two together and getting four, we asked Liverpool for help, hardly unreasonably so given the problem arose as a consequence of their prevaricating over the date, and Liverpool told us to **** off. If this actually mattered to them, or it was Man U asking for a favour, I could perhaps understand, but they don't care one jot about this competition or STFC they've made that perfectly clear, but, despite this problem being all of their own making by dicking around over the date, they still couldn't be arsed to help us. Well done Everton - a proper club who still understand what the FA cup actually means to all but the 'privileged' few in their premier league bubble.

That is my argument. We all got tickets for the first game, so have already fulfilled the criteria once, so why the hell are they making us do it again. Surely the amounts are roughly equal, there are some that won't be able to go or aren't interested in going. There should be plenty of ticket to sell to everyone that went on Sunday and enough spares to be able to buy for friends or family that want to go.
They should have had tickets for all those that went on Sunday available until Saturday, general sale at 1 per membership no. on Sunday and then general sale on Monday and Tuesday.
I know Liverpool have been less than helpful, but Town haven't exactly covered themselves in glory either. Christ knows how they'll screw up the Chelsea ticket allocation if we win through next week.
