A magical evening. Yes, we rode our luck at times and probably had the best of the decisions but the way we grew into the match and never gave up was outstanding. My only regret is that we probably should have won. Didn't get a wink of sleep last night and I'm still buzzing. In years to come, that attendance will have doubled with the number of people claiming they were there. Onwards to Anfield to finish the job. Bloody hell!

the work rate, tracking back, pressing and winning the 50 - 50 balls is what town did so well, this game just showed do the basics right what can happen and town did all of them incredibly well. all credit to the whole team, the backroom staff, ricketts and the fans to make it a night to remember.

Well I've learnt a lesson the hard way about linking supporter numbers to my account when I'm buying tickets for other people! Gutted I wasn't there as the atmosphere felt on par with the Charlton play off second leg. Did cartwheels round the living room when Cummings bagged the second, couldn't begin to imagine what it would have felt like in the stadium!
Not sure whether I'm reading too much into it, but when Ollie got subbed off I reckon it was precautionary because of ongoing transfer negotiations as he didn't look that bad to me.
Whatever money we make from the replay (I've seen numerous numbers thrown about from anywhere between 100-800k) we need to try and make Lang permanent. He runs himself into the ground and I can see him only increasing in value.
On a final note, with Klopp playing the kids a real chance for Salop to progress into the 5th round, now let's sell out our allocation and witness a famous win at Anfield and even more money in the bank!

Whatever money we make from the replay Ticket prices have to be agreed by both clubs, but if the kids do play I can't see Liverpool fans being happy to pay anything like full ticket prices which will impact how lucrative the replay will be for us.

Very true, surely it has to be picked for TV coverage again though? Can also see Shrewsbury selling out their end and Anfield always seem to be near full capacity regardless of the game, I can't see Liverpool being too fan friendly on ticket prices but even if they make them 20 quid each that's 50000 fans and roughly a million quid coming in. This article: financialfootballnews.com/fa-cup-prize-money-much-can-club-get/ says that away teams can expect a 45% split of ticket revenue after all expenses are taken into account so you're still looking at a very pretty penny, and that's without TV revenue included if it's broadcasted!

TV interest is very likely I think and, whatever the ticket prices, it will still be a good payday for us.

Where were the classics “ You’ll never walk alone “ and “Ferry cross the Mersey “. Not even a short blast of “Fields of Athenry “ to please our guests. It was disgusting to come away knowing that we failed to bow down to them acknowledging that they are omnipotent. I well remember our previous encounter when we bared our buttocks for a right royal shafting . I’m embarrassed by our lack of respect . Mr Klippity for King - he is German after all.

For football, read cricket. Between them, the ECB and the Test Match Grounds are slowly destroying the rest of the Counties.
