Just don’t want it to be like the United game, what a dank squib that was.

Surely the team Liverpool will put out will be no better than on a par with the one Wolves put out against us last year. We have improved our defense since then so there is good reason to think that , if we bring our A game, we will be competitive. It will be a different sort of test for their young players than their game against Everton was - if we can work hard and keep it tight we can introduce that little bit of doubt in their minds and hopefully pounce late. Whatever team they put out it will be a great result for us if we can get anything out of the game. All we ask of our lads is that they put in a great shift and be brave. Ricketts has got the tone just right in his interviews this week and I think the lads can do it.

Our cup games against top flight opposition do tend to either be absolute belters (even when we lose) or total non-events. The ‘96 Liverpool tie fell into the latter category - let’s hope we can put that right on Sunday.

Yeah said something similar myself. In my lifetime Liverpool, Chelsea (Zola) & United were non events, Chelsea (Mangan), Everton & Arsenal (x2) were games to be proud of.
Being completely honest I am a bit fearful as we set up defensively at the best of times so I'm wondering whether SR will go full on Fred Davies 96 for this game. Lets hope I'm wrong

Yes, this is why I am a bit 'meh' about the game. It could turn out to be attack v defence. Or not, who knows.

All we ask of our lads is that they put in a great shift and be brave. Yeah, agree. As long as we give it a go. That's all we ask. Hopefully what we saw against Wolves last season is an indication that that's exactly what we'll do...👍 Someone has just posted the highlights of the Everton game on the Facebook site. Don't half get you in the mood.

Has anyone listened to Klopps press conference from today? Firstly I must say he is very eloquent in talking absolute b#####s, he makes Ron Manager(aka Inspector Swan) sound like he knows what he is talking about. Secondly he is like one of those old riddles, first I am mouse like, second I have 6 legs, third I have 18 teeth, what am I? I know it was a press conference and he probably doesn't take them that seriously, but he even made Andy Sinton sound interesting.

Songs for tomorrow; The classic "is this your holiday" followed by "your only here for the Shrewsbury" and lastly the everlasting "where are my hub caps" (sung to whatever tune you can think of).

Perhaps he's been brought in to learn to learn Klopp how to say SHREWSBURY. In the interview I saw, Klopp had Juan goo, then gave up. He sounded some Juan with a new set of choppers being asked to say a new word.
"Now then, Jurgen, the fust attempt to say Shrewsbury was.......very good.....yes, that's it, very good indeed......and shushhhh is a word in itself....but beshery will only be understood in Toxteth. I believe it's some kind of guest house for the inebriated

List of famous players that certain deceitful forum members have claimed over recent days not to be aware of:
Mohammed Salah Virgil van Dijk Roberto Firmino Trent Alexander-Arnold Ryan Giggs Didier Drogba Thierry Henry David Beckham Wayne Rooney “Anyone who plays in that bothersome top division - is it called the Premier League? - I don’t pay attention to that you see”

Ridiculing a foreign persons pronunciation could be considered a form of racism in some quarters. Just an observation. 🤔
