Like Donald love, hibs fans like sunderland fans saying worst player in last 10 years! Who knows. Weird position to be getting a player in if someone is not off i agree. Why? I don’t get this logic. Edwards/Goss really struggle for consistency or any run of games, I would think Ricketts is after someone better than them two, or at least rival the ‘Edwards role’ seen as Goss has Walker (also not quite up to it) who plays in a similar way to him. In fact, I think Laurent has been s**te in some recent games and there was nobody to replace him on the bench. Then you know nothing, Laurent s**te in some recent games? Our last 2 games were Bristol and he was very good (again playing wide right) and Fleetwood and he did well in that game also. Unless he is scoring he can never win for people like you.

Laurent MOM against Fleetwood and Bristol City arguably 👍 But really s**t against Donny & non existent against Lincoln. So another midfielder on the bench as an alternative would have been nice. I really don’t see midfield as overloaded or that this means another needs to leave. Every one was really sh**te against Donny.

Still hope Jack Price is coming in as well. That would be an interesting signing... although is it for definite that he is not returning to Colorado?

I know this isn't exactly the most reliable of sources but just searching Josh Vela on twitter and it is full of Hibs fans absolutely slating him and they can't believe a club is actually after him. They're even offering to drive him down to Shrews! Fair enough I still remember reading the Hartlepool fans opinions of Toto Nsiala and likewise Notts County with Alex Rodman!

Bloody hell I didn’t realise that wanting an extra midfielder to replace Edwards or come on for Laurent when he’s playing poorly would go down so badly. Get off your high horse.

Seems like a signing with potential. Will trust in SR rather than listen to any armchair critics without managerial experience.

Here is what my Bolton supporting pal said in reply to the question, ‘Is Josh Vela any good?’.
That's a question Bolton fans have been asking for years! Lots of promise, looked like a premier league midfielder when he broke through, but went downhill under Neil Lennon, who asked him to play right back. Instead of being glad to be in the team, he sulked and couldn't be arsed tracking runners. He is very very thick. Likes a drink. A lot. But when we dropped into league one he found his level and played attacking midfield, which is his best position- he scored about ten goals from there and set up a lot more. Basically he's a big tile Charlie who thinks he's Steven Gerrard but is pretty handy as a league one attacking midfield player. Good passer, has vision, but can't tackle and is not great when chips are down. We used to use him as a chaser, pressing their defenders - he was good at that. Like an attack dog. He would walk into our team, needless to say.

Agreed worst post of the year. by staceyj Donald love in most eyes is a quality player in our system. Cough . Is Donald Love the worst ever million pound footballer ? 1 mistake and we’re nearly into February..? The fact he stuck to his game and still played well after that shows he’s got a lot about him and is by far a better player than you make out. Was up against some tricky players yesterday and it was mainly out left that they got chances- bar the pinpoint finish after the break.

Donald Love made a bad mistake last night and then showed a lot of guts in how he played thereafter. Fair enough you don’t rate him, but I maintain the view he has done a very decent job overall for us this season.
