Many other people know it but are happy to turn a blind eye to it. There will of course, come a time when he will p**s on their chips as well. I look forward to that day.

its about me and Man U again, on a liverpool thread my Man Utd ? where did I ever refer to them and my, we , us, our ? I support the town You've made every other post on the thread, people respond, it's kind of how it works. I'm surprised you're not a Liverpool fan though if I'm honest, you're always the victim.

Who has best benefitted most from VAR decisions? For Against Difference Stats via Opta as of 30 December 2019
Southampton 6 1 5 Brighton 7 3 4 Man Utd 4 1 3 Liverpool 4 2 2 Bournemouth 3 1 2 Leicester 5 4 1 Tottenham 5 4 1 Burnley 3 2 1 Crystal Palace 3 2 1 Watford 2 1 1 Newcastle 1 0 1 West Ham 4 4 0 Man City 2 3 -1 Aston Villa 1 2 -1 Everton 1 2 -1 Arsenal 1 3 -2 Chelsea 2 5 -3 Norwich 1 4 -3 Wolves 0 5 -5 Sheffield United 1 7 -6
who makes those stats ? liverpool fans off the top of my head, in Liverpools favour liverpool v Chelsea, azpuizlaceuta goal ruled out for offside despite 7 players touching the ball after said offside, so much for 2nd phase van djik v Everton , should have been a red card and penalty according to shearer and another motd pundit 2-1 liverpool v city, several times 0-0 liverpool 95th min penalty v leicester 1-1 liverpool v spurs late penalty 1-1 liverpool v palace, palace goal ruled out for a dubious push 0-0 liverpool v newcastle, salah, looked offside, ( no var lines that day) 1-1 liverpool v wolves, where do I start ? 0-0 1-0 www.foxsportsasia.com/football/premier-league/1197446/watch-fan-proves-how-mohamed-salah-was-offside-lead-up-liverpool-second-goal-vs-manchester-city/I'm done with VAR, different rules for different clubs Works same both ways. 2 against??? Firminho goal v Villa disallowed for offside by armpit Mane Goal v Watford dissalowed offside by armpit Matip dragged down in the box not overturned Keeper fouled from a corner but goal not overturned Origi fouled in lead up to utd goal Mane goal dissalowed goal v it’s for tiny touch on arm Plenty of others I’m sure. The issue isn’t Var favours Liverpool, the issue is perception. When Utd were winning everything all refs favoured Utd (they didn’t) It’s easier when you hate a club to make excuses for why they are doing well. More decisions seem to go for top team as they are televised more. So much made of Liverpool v wolves offside and barely a mention of sheff Utd goal v city. If city were top would be other way around. Media want to build the hype Anyway appreciate facts don’t matter in this day and age. Happy new year

When Utd were winning everything all refs favoured Utd (they didn’t) Actually seem to remember that the Leicester University guy's stats found that they did I used to get endless abuse from “Utd fans” at school for supporting Shrewsbury which drove my irrational hatred of them. Not sure how any scientific study can assess situations that are subjective. I would wager a large amount of money that if you showed a group of fans two near identical incidents but swapped the teams around you would get 2 different opinions on what the outcome should be.

Agreed, these stats are pointless.
But Liverpool are top as they are best team not due to VAR.
Some have gone for them, some against. Difference has been when decisions have gone against them they still managed to win the game. Impossible to say had any of those decisions had gone the other way they still wouldn’t have won those games.
It’s hard for Liverpool haters to take as was the period of united dominance for Utd haters.
The upside for those that hate Liverpool is they won’t dominate. City and united have the resources to come back quickly if they buy right. Also Liverpool have some good players but a lot of average players playing above their level. if momentum turns they may still have a period of dropping points.

The problem for United is one they have faced before - replacing a highly successful manager. Look how their fortunes dived when Busby left and the same has happened post Fergie. The same thing happened at Liverpool after the successes of the Shankly, Paisley, Dalglish era. To make matters worse, failure to qualify for the Champions League, makes it harder to attract top quality players. Time will tell how long Pep will remain at City, or Klopp at Liverpool, but currently the near future looks far more healthy for those clubs than it does for United.

Fair play, very few teams go unbeaten for a full calendar year.
I doubt they will get any credit by a few regulars on B&A though.

I cant wait for this afternoons live game
all the fa cup magic
a premier side at home to a premier side, a game that is still shown live at every attempt even though the away side has not won this century, at a guess its probably the most televised game in English history as well as being the most one sided game in recent history
it has all the makings for a boring home win
cant wait

At least Klopp doesn't go on TV and berate the referee like a certain Scottish manager did for over 20 years!" If you want to referee my games, laddie, you'd best make the "right" decisions!" If you were not giving the 'right' decisions for the team then you never refereed the big games!

B&A at its best once again... no really cos 48% of the country are thoroughly p**sed off, don’t want to leave the EU and feel the whole sorry affairs been caused by aging racists ..... there a whole generation feeling cheated by a load of grumpy old folk who aren’t going to be around much longer.... Best not bring it up on a football thread mind 👍
