Wouldnt day ive got a huge smile on my face about it, just a small one. ;But its far more than i would have should the country have been so stupid to go with the only other option (shudders with the thought). Now lets get on and sort out the mess from the last time the country was asked to vote, we have wasted the last 3 year with stupid arguing. As Leave voter I can't see how we can bring the country together. What's the end game in this? Poisonous in the UK right now. Left and Right. Unifying the country won't happen for a very long time, not when the people responsible for dividing it are the ones in charge and have done nothing at all to mend fences for over 3 years, in any issue and where as seen in this thread, even though their man won, there is constant sniping at those who didn't believe the ill defined idea that still hasn't been defined or agreed on

Let's hope they now release the Russian dossier and get going on the Arcuri Inquiries. Shame we can't contemplate impeaching Boris.

As Leave voter I can't see how we can bring the country together. What's the end game in this? Poisonous in the UK right now. Left and Right. Basically remain voters need to now accept that there will not be another referendum and that we will be leaving the EU very shortly. The whole of parliament needs to get behind the next stage of the negotiations so that the UK presents a united front to the EU. No more undermining our negotiating position. Another referendum was never (hopefully) a realistic option. There was an option to vote leave or stay, those who bothered to vote said leave. To hold another referendum would have caused anarchy and made our country look a total laughing stock. I would never have voted had there been another referendum or indeed ever again and im sure there would have been plenty more like me. The country decided, there could absolutely be no second chance. Now lets get on and do it finally.

Now lets get on and do it finally. The Conservatives could never have offered another referendum. But Boris, by making Get Brexit Done the sole policy, effectively did hold a second referendum, while the result didn't go the way I would have liked, it all passed by without anarchy. The juries still out on whether Boris will make our country look a total laughing stock.

I accept that Brexit will happen.
I don’t have to like it.
Also the fact that “get brexit done” got 43% of the vote does not convince me the majority are in favour. I believe it shows the country is still split on the subject and will likely stay that way. Not a major surprise.
However it’s all irrelevant now as FPTP system gives Boris ability to push through his deal. Let’s see how it all plays out.

whatever your views on brexit Boris made that a major part of his campaign and now has the majority to get it done.you would imagine he will not have the problems he had with the remainers faction in the party as the new Mp's wil probably tow the line. however the EU statment after the election makes it clear what will need to happen if Boris wonts a trade deal with the EU. who knowes how long that will take but i dont expect it to happen in the short term.
do we have a choerent opposition to put the deal under the scrutiny it should have bearing in mind the consequences it will have for all of us.
The new speaker for the house Sir Lindsay Hoyle will have a steep learning curve.

Popular choice of cars as the Germans make exceedingly good cars. Along with the French who make better cheese than cars. People will always buy quality products regardless of where they come from, Brexit or not.

The Germans trade on their reputation, I wouldn't class them as exceedingly good, that's like saying Mr Kipling makes exceedingly good cakes. As for French cheese, give me British Cheddar, Cheshire, Stilton, etc. a nice bit of Wensleydale, every time.

Boris' "to do" tray, a cabinet and some policies. Will he sideline Gove further? Will Ian Dunken-Donuts finally be put out to pasture for his Universal Benefits disaster? Leave Rees-Mogg doing what he did? Allocate some of the new MPs jobs - there's not much talent about now the remainers are gone?
Will Boris resort to the old Tory trick of picking the most acceptable of Labour's policies and making them his own?
Get rid of HS2, a white elephant that knocks down trees just when we need them? But still somehow make the rail system work again?
Will the North get it's investment to please new Tory voters?
Will he propose something very similar to Labour's green initiative?
Decisions, decisions.

Keep it at engagement level Boris. At least that's not a legally binding contract.
It's going to cost you enough with the Marina Wheeler divorce and this extra sprog to maintain. Another divorce when you are yet again caught playing away would not help you too much financially.

So, clearly only got engaged when she found she was pregnant.
I bet her family are pleased. “And Who’s the nice young man you’re bringing home? Oh!”

'When a man marries his mistress, it creates a job vacancy'. James Goldsmith.
Boris has so many children that he must have trouble remembering all their names. Allegedly, there is one still to be identified. He has two daughters, Lara Lettice, 26, and Cassia Peaches, 22, and two sons Milo Arthur, 24, and Theodore Apollo, 20. He also has a fifth child, Stephanie Macintyre, with art consultant Helen Macintyre. Bob Geldof would be approving of the name selections!
According to sources close to the couple, marriage and a baby was 'non-negotiable' for Carrie. 'That is what she has always wanted, a condition of their relationship'. Shades of Meghan Markle!

"marriage and a baby was 'non-negotiable' for Carrie" I remember when it used to be in that order too, they will have to be quick to achieve that.
Unlike Meghan Markle, when my mum heard she was pregnant she said: "Oh, the Queen is not going to be very pleased". "Why's that mum?" "Well, they have only been married 5 minutes, she must have been pregnant when they married" "Mum, they have been married around 12 months, she's not a flaming elephant, it only takes 9 months!" "Oh well, I suppose that's alright then"

Ooo praps he’ll go off to Canada as well!!! The worrying thing are comments like these - "Huge congratulations to the boss, Boris Johnson, and the wonderful Carrie Symonds, though something tells me there's a new boss coming to Number 10". From Dehenna Davison M.P, Conservative poster girl and friend of Caarrie Symonds. For those unfamiliar with Ms Davison, she spent a year working as a parliamentary aide for Jacob Rees-Mogg, the Member of Parliament (MP) for North East Somerset. She was then selected as a Tory candidate in the 2015 election at the age of 21. Davison married John Fareham, a Conservative councillor on Hull City Council in 2018. He is 35 years older than her. They appeared together on the Channel 4 documentary series Bride and Prejudice, which showed their wedding at the Guildhall, Kingston upon Hull. They separated before the 2019 general election. Wiki. Certain parallels between Symonds and Davison here? The good news is that apparently they both favour more money to be allocated to repairing pot holes!

'When a man marries his mistress, it creates a job vacancy'. James Goldsmith. Another of Carrie's best mates is Zak Goldsmith, Tory politician and son of Sir James Goldsmith. I wonder if he'll be passing on his father's advice to her!

I see Boris Bsdger & co have decided to spare the badgers by calling off the cull and inoculating the cows instead. Of course HS2 go-ahead will probably result in many being evicted.
