We've started brightly, going forward with a bit of purpose and a couple of half chances. Me and my nephew are playing a drinking game where we drink every time the commentator mentions one of our players used to play for Man United. Needless to say, I'm pretty drunk already as a result. After that Goss goal you must be paralytic

strange substitution. Though Laurent nearly scored.

That's a very Ricketts substitution. Nearly paid off tbf, and we're still well on top here.

so what ? we are suddenly all over them Spain won the World Cup without a striker what is the point of us having players on the pitch who sole job is to score and yet they cant

England, France, Brazil, Germany, Italy all won the World Cup with strikers did they know how to score ? I'd imagine they got good service which would enable them to at least have a chance of scoring.

Well done Town. A superb 2nd half, comfortably the better side, probably should have won on chances and the balance of play but a thoroughly deserved result. Lauren looked good and Murphy made three crucial saves.

Good effort by Town today, fully deserving of another crack at Bristol City. Hopefully their non winning run will continue until the replay as they very much looked and played like a side who had lost five of their last six games today.
Maybe an outside chance of the replay being televised depending on what else happens this weekend.

1-1 FT. Sounds like we should have won that.
I'm still baffled as to why we rescheduled the Doncaster game for next Tuesday, whilst knowing that we might well be involved in a replay.
So now it's 2 games a week for the next 2 weeks.

After deserved criticism for an underwhelming 1-1 last time out, it's only fair to give credit for a much more encouraging 1-1 this week which we really should have won. Playing a more clearly defined three up top worked well, and I'd like to see us stick with this now with Whalley starting in games at home when the emphasis is on us to have a go.
A slight concern that we didn't create many clear cut chances, but if we continue to play with that attitude every week the chances should start coming.
Is that the third game running that Cummings hasn't come off the bench? Something amiss there seemingly.

Meanwhile, Tom Eaves scores a hat trick for Hull against Rotherham, the last goal which won the match coming in the 92nd minute.
