Why do Bolton always seem to be ignored but all the others get the deserved punishment. Its just farcical and the EFL show themselves up in a poor light on a regular basis. The members of the RFL Board that dealt with Saracens should have been borrowed to sort out the Bolton case. No messing around there. no messing around ? your fined and docked points oh no actually, your relegated dont bother giving me the facts as I'm not interested, I dont watch rugby but as an outsider it seems like a lot of messing around has gone on

A lot of messing around because big money moved in? Money is the root of all evil they say, at least they did when I asked about a raise.

The interesting thing about Saracens is that it seems it was happy to take the relegation as an alternative to full transparency on its accounts.

'They were later charged by the English Football League with misconduct and docked six points, with a further four suspended, by the English Football League after they pleaded guilty to charges over non-payment of wages and failing to fulfil their fixture with Crewe on 7 December - a game their players refused to take part in citing concerns about their emotional wellbeing. They were again charged with misconduct by the league when they failed to play their fixture against Plymouth on 21 December after the club were given a "zero-capacity notice" by the local Safety Advisory Group'. Err, why the delay of nearly 3 months for the EFL to decide what to do re the Plymouth game? After the Bolton debacle, Macclesfield understandably appealed against the original sanctions imposed on them. www.skysports.com/football/news/36067/11903313/macclesfield-appeal-six-point-deduction-in-light-of-bolton-punishment

I hope Norburn really is qualified for Grenada. Incidentally as he is now injured we could be without Pierre and Beckles on 28 March, as Grenada have a game. Hopefully they won’t pick them for friendlies

From the Macclesfield Fans Forum: "There is NO clear time frame at this time for when the appeal against the points deduction is to be heard, which will then be followed by the disciplinary proceedings regarding the failure to fulfil the fixture against Plymouth Argyle on 21st December 2019. All we were told is that they will be held in the next few weeks with no clarification of date / time provided. We did highlight our concerns that we are effectively 9-10 weeks away from the end of the season but it was made clear to us that this is not the EFL “procrastinating” but there are issues in relation to the formation of an independent committee which can take some time to set up".

Given the previous issues with Bury, Bolton & Macclesfield and now Macclesfield again, you would think that this independent committee would be on some sort of retainer, ready to meet at a moments notice. Southend now in the mix as well. Not good for lower league football at the moment.

You just couldnt write it could you. EFL starting to make another almighty drama of another club in crisis. This organisation couldnt run a tap.

You would also like to think that, with so many lower league clubs in difficulty for whatever reasons, the EFL would be considering how to become a more effective governing body and how they could try and see the wealth at the top more evenly distributed.
Otherwise there will be very little grass roots football left for young lads and lasses to start their careers.
But I expect they will just carry on with their heads in the sand giving way to Premier League.
