Total garbage...and richly deserved boos.
Is Norburn playing?
Sort it Rickets....this is beyond bad.

There seems to be a wondrous idea amongst the oracles that we need to just go forwards no matter what the situation is.
Forwards they shout when it would take a pass Andrea pirlo would be proud of to find a man in a forwards area.
Comfortably in control of 37 mins of that first half minus a moronic display of unctrolled t**ttery by Giles.

Not sure I can be too critical of those who are booing. Its awful to watch this and people are paying good money to do so...

If it carries on like this we will have lost 2 home games this week, most likely for no goals scored and be languishing firmly in the bottom half of the division.
Alarm bells should be ringing at Oteley Road. This team's complete ineffectual attack is not only a genuine cause for concern from a league one survival standpoint; it's driving casual fans away with the sheer lack of entertainment factor.
No more excuses about building his own team, taking time to gel or "we're in mid table, what more do you want?" The team are serving up absolute swill and the fans deserve better.

Bit lucky there but **** it, we'll take it. Beckles is actually one if our nore effective attackers this season. Think about that.

Too little, too late. Solid at the back and no doubt Edwards or Fej should both have hit the target right at the end and at least one shoild probably have scored.
Not an easy one to sum up. We're set up defensively and generally look solid, but that's at the expense of a little more freedom going forward. Unless things change pretty quickly we'll know 8f Ricketts is planning on boring our way to probably the dullest 14th place finish we've ever seen. If survival is his brief then he'll do a decent job, but if this team has aspirations to push on and challenge the top half or even the play offs then we really need to see more going forward. I honestly don't know what the answer is, but would probably try Whalley at wing back instead of Love to see if that has an effect. He played that role briefly last season. It's far from his natural position but with three centre backs we can cover his lack of defensive ability.
Not expecting anything from Saturday mind and from looking tentatively upwards for the past few weeks I think we're going to be spending the next few weeks looking the other way.

Edwards should have had a goal there. Should have scored. Edwards iniciated the move by passing to love and then running flat out to get on the end of the cross ,the shame was after straining every sinew to reach the cross the final header that went wide

how I saw it
firstly a big boo to the boo boys youre about as pathetic as Bulgarian fans, what was you expecting ? another 7-0 maybe ?
the game
our keeper missed a couple of opportunities to bowl the ball out quick for a breakaway attack, he can do it I've seen him he still had a decent game though
love , 2nd half I thought he was redundant for too long, often standing alone out wide
Cummings , never looked like getting involved for me, and fejiri, its a waste of time chipping balls in the air for him its feet or nothing
giles, as we saw v Fleetwood, he's no defender, can cost us a goal a game if we are not careful, for me he's an out and out winger
speaking of Fleetwood , it looked like deja vu as we dominated early and then conceded I'm sure the gills had 4 up top for most of the first half and we struggled to cope at times
our crossing wasn't good tonight but ironically we did score from a mis-hit cross
I thought the officials were poor tonight, very inconsistent, not up with play and out of their depth
but finally a positive
Dave Edwards, such a shame he didn't get longer as he looked like a man possessed when he came on, brilliant short display I thought and perhaps he should start on Saturday if hes still in that mood
if rotherham was a good point and Lincoln was an ok point tonight was maybe points dropped

God that was a tough night wasn’t it, bit of a stinker all round although a bit of credit to the team for rescuing a point from the game
I just don’t understand how Ricketts thinks we are going to score goals and win games with that formation. For long chucks of the game we had 5 at the back and two deep lying midfielders, we could have had Ronaldo and Messi up front and struggled to create a chance for them
I know the defence has a good record but they look cumbersome and mismatched a lot of the time and I’m starting to view Waterfall as some kind of creative genius compared to some of our central defenders passing - truly dreadful at times
After good starts I’m not sure Cummings and Goss are actually as good as we hoped and Norburn seems to have hit a flat spot after a good return from injury.
Everything just seems sluggish, disjointed and not very good at the moment and it’s not really clear how we change that, but current performances aren’t filling me with any excitement for the next game

that was a dire game to watch Gillingham were poor and we were worse, in an error strewn performance our distribution was poor ,the first touch by many players was poor , we played a zero risk approach with a if in doubt pass it back approach after three passes from the defenders all momentum was lost . it is 0-0 and we bring all the players back for a cross so when we get possession we have no out ball Whilst Giles was the source of most of the threat the defending side of his game was poor and i think it was his foul that lead to a penalty. i was hoping for a more posative second half but it was not forthcoming a beckles goal resulted in us scr@ping a draw , a header from edwards and ferjiri go wide. tonight town were very predicatable going forward long ball that was easily defending, or long diaganole ball to love or giles. we looked more lively when whalley came on but there kepper had very little to do.

The formation and the players aren't the problem.
It's the lack of tempo, the lack of attacking intend, the lack of sustained pressure.
People will start drifting away from this eventually.

With Morison gone, we now have no one up front that can win balls in the air, so the constant long ball tactic was absolutely useless.
It took the introduction of Edwards for us to start winning balls in the air, and he did make an impact, as did Whalley.
But overall, the performance was dire, particularly in the 1st half.
