Never felt we'd get the win even when they went down to ten... Just feel that there is some potential in this side. Just not sure we are getting the best out of them.

When strikers aren’t scoring you need midfielders to chip in but unfortunately they aren’t doing so. I think that we should be just as critical about the so called “attacking midfielders” because right now they are equally as culpable as the strikers for these dropped points. I'd like to see Thompson start in place of Laurent. I think he offers something a bit different and the midfield would have a better balance with him in the side.

Decent away point.
We're a safe boring midtable side.
Nothing wrong with that, we nearly got relegated last season.
C'mon Salop.

Lincoln fan colleague was in the block in front of the red card incident and says it was 100% a sending off, shame we didn’t show a bit more ambition in those last 10.......

Mark elliot is a weapons grade idiot. I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks this. Good thing about Ifollow is you can see what they are talking about rather than taking there word for it. I must have disagreed with 80% of the s**t he came out with.

Apparently Norburn was his MOTM and laurent was awful. I'd say they were both OK with laurent slightly edging it due to his energy.

From what little we have seen of Thompson he looks like a bottle of pop; he has the skill, confidence and speed to turn defense into attack as quick as you like. I'm not that concerned about Laurent but if he is to make way, I wouldn't be disappointed if it was Thompson who was given the chance...

I've nothing against Laurent, it's about the overall balance of the team. I think Thompson could link the midfield and the forwards better than what we are seeing at the moment, he would also get beyond the strikers into the box. It's certainly worth trying for a few games.

But it's just not working for me at the moment. But I do think that it can do. Its just getting that formation, that selection...

Couple of decent efforts from distance in the highlights but no obvious chances?
Hmm, ok.

Absolutely turgid stuff. 4 games I’ve attended and we’ve drawn three of them 0-0 with neither team looking like scoring. I actually don’t think any player is playing awful and nor are we a bad team but good god I have never been so bored watching Town in my life. The only time tonight we looked like we might have a bit of directness in the final third was for three minutes after Whalley came on but that soon fizzled out. The fact that he doesn’t start tells you all you need to know.
No one seems to be trying to drive us on other than the fans who were absolutely magnificent.
It’s not bad but it’s just sooooo ****ing dull, and when I say dull I mean ****ing dull.
Zzzzzzzzzz

On coach homeward bound. Enjoyed the game but most of that was due to the brilliant atmosphere in the Away end a decent turnout for a Friday evening and all in good voice as usual. Both sides pretty poor and lacked the ability to score. Laurent was the only one that came close but keeper saved. Laurent my MOM covered a lot of ground didn’t rest on his laurels and put plenty of effort in. That said an enjoyable game and glad I went. Hope we can score some goals and get a win on Tuesday and Saturday COYB

Interesting to note Morison didn’t even make the 18...clearly there’s a great deal of unrest behind the scenes. Just like Whalley’s unexplained absence at Wimbledon.

Solid defensive display but lacking an attacking spark, which is often the case with this side.
The game was pretty poor to watch but I’ll take a point.

A fit Thompson would add some missing flair as would a fully fit Cummings. A good point tonight.

Naff until about the 30 minute mark & slightly better team from then on. 0 0 was fair though, Salop not quite boring for me because they tried so long to find openings in & around dangerous areas but make no mistake they were not fun to watch either because those openings simply didn’t come.
Away from home Ricketts sets out to take a point from the off & seems to assess from there. The defence could take us anywhere in the league but our boring side could drag us down amongst the bottom lot if we aren’t careful too.
Still lots to discover with this side I think.. good and bad..

I would take a boring 0 - 0 draw away from home any day. As far as I'm concerned, it's their option to attack us. If they can't be arsed, it's their loss.

Just got back home.
I enjoyed the game which was played mainly on the deck, particularly by town. Thought we were good on the eye but lack the ability in the final third.
Goss free kick was a cracker. Lincoln never looked like getting behind our back three - no idea how they beat Sunderland last week Some good performances all over the pitch and plenty to be encouraged about.
Finally, a great sing song and top atmosphere from the blue amber army

we missed Langs energy in front of goal he pulls defenders all over the place and creates openings, the first touch by the forwards not the best ,with Goss we have somone who can take a free kick ,happy with an away point.

Decent performance - competent and steady. confined to long range efforts on goal though. Agree with this. Only disappointing thing for me was the players seemed to lack confidence that they could push on and win the game. Very comfortable second half as we found more width. I can see what Ricketts is trying to build here - the squad has potential. We have 4 good centre halves, 4 good centre mids, 4 strikers to pick from (albeit lacking some form and Udoh still finding his feet in League1; Lang a big loss IMO ). My worry is if one of the wing-backs becomes injured (Giles & Love, alongside O'Leary are the only ever-presents this season, highlighting their importance to the team) we will struggle to create. Would I take 12th at the end of the season? Absolutely! But to finish 12th indicates inconsistency.... be patient fellow Salopians; remember finishing 12th would be our second highest league finish since 1990..... PS - I thought the town fans were fantastic last night, 430 on a Friday night to Lincoln (a pain in the arse to get to wherever you're travelling from) is a great effort. They were in fine voice all match.
