Thought the same. Glad it’s been brought up. They do realise they are playing in the third division now don’t they?! 27 quid is scandalous. Will no doubt still end up going, but going to cost more than first expected.

It was their decision to take Hurst, no good taking it out on us... That's just not on. That's a shocking amount.

Disgraceful prices for League 1!

Boycott, they'll soon learn.
20's plenty as the saying goes. Absolutely will not pay £27 to watch a run of the mill 3rd tier fixture and more fool anyone who forks out that amount for it.

Does anyone have a list of the 23 away prices? Seem to recall P'Boro being £26 on the day.

What a p**stake that is!
Never really had a problem with Ipswich before the past couple of seasons, just one of those irrelevant FL clubs which you forget about when people ask you to name the 92.
Starting to have a strong dislike towards them now. £27 for bloody League 1 football. Shouldn't even be allowed to charge that much! Hope we batter them.

Like Bolton few years back, not going and if you aren't happy about the price then I suggest you don't either.

I won’t be for sure. Add in travelling and it’s ridiculous. They need to get a grip on themselves and adjust to real life in the football league.

Wowsers - thankfully only 20 mins travel for me but this will put plenty off.

I think they need the money. It's a poorly run club and it wouldn't surprise me if their financial position is precarious.

Its a business decision by him to run it close to the limit as possible and no doubt draw dividends from. The fact they're aren't more protests against him by Ipswich fans to me is absolutely baffling.

I trust we'll be charging the away fans £27 when they come up here?

I would like to think so.

It is obviously higher than most, but I am sure we will find plenty of others over £20 this year MK is £22 on Saturday. With the cost of travel, and being out all day, an extra £5 is annoying but not enough to stop me going

I trust we'll be charging the away fans £27 when they come up here? That is not how it works. Clubs have to charge the same amount for similar seats, so we can’t make it £27 for Ipswich fans without making it that for the South Stand. These are Ipswich’s prices, they don’t change them for Shrewsbury , so the choice is simple, pY it or don’t go

UEFA Champions League regulations do no not apply to games played in the EFL. Mr Scooter is correct with his post regarding pricing at EFL games.

This has been EFL rule for a few years, not sure about Premier, where Away fans may be cheaper than home (limited to £30 I believe) I will worry about the Champions League when we get there 😜

BUt we are still paying the same (or less) as Ipswich fans in the Cobbold Stand, as we share that stand. It would be interesting to see others, but I’m not looking at them all. Accy is £20, like ours, doubt anywhere will be less and plenty will be more

It's £27 or more in all upper tiers. I wouldn't be keen on going to Portman Rd on a regular basis though!!
Although wouldn't be too impressed if we were dumped in the lower tier block S which is also a visitors section!
PS Not too impressed but they are using Clippy in the Ticket Info section! The news of our badge change hasn't got that far east into the flatlands by look of it!

Not looked at plan again, but isn’t that Block S for disabled fans. I am sure we will be in the pink block, probably right in the corner

I am sure we will be in the pink block, probably right in the corner On the plan I linked to there are 3 vistor blocks in upper tier of Cobbold Stand from the half-way line heading left as you look at the pitch. Block S is the left most block in the lower tier in front of the executive boxes. The home blocks in the lower tier are just standard tickets. But as you say depending on numbers we'll probably in the left most seats in the upper tier out of the way!

All changed since I was there last in the 1980’s, I am fairly sure we were behind the goal then

Not sure what the issue is
We are playing at the ground most league 1 fans want to visit this season A side who have not so long ago been a premiership regular , a side with European success in the 80s
Had town been relegated last season we would still be charging £22 for certain West stand tickets
So overpriced that they hardly ever sell

The best bit is that our fans only have to pay it once a season.
Compared to the cost of travel and the time commitment to get there it's a stump up, have a moan and forget about it thing.
