No game tonight should see the lads well rested for the visit of Oldham on Saturday and, perhaps crucially, gives us all a chance to re-stock on the Session IPA. Hope the IPAs were quenched watching us win instead, and the order's repeated for whenever the rearranged game can take place. Must say I'm disappointed that I've only been able to watch one of my two beloved teams making a surprise play-off push today, but it it what it is. Mortgagehound and I have formed a bubble, and his living room TV faces out to the back garden window - drop one of us a PM if you wanna come over and watch the Scunny game "as live" through the window after the Town game on Tuesday.

It was a real kick in the teeth as I'd stocked up on Elvis Juice and driven up to Maltby to listen to the game (the closest place a reliable BBC Radio Humberside signal can be picked up). It wasn't until Szicho called me minutes before the game that I knew it was off. Might well take you up on that offer.

Butterflies starting to build ahead of the match vs Cheltenham tomorrow. Even a simpleton could tell you this will be tough given the league table.
My chief concern is that about half a dozen sides lie a point or two behind the mighty SUFC in the table, so really could do with a positive result to avoid a tumble down the league knocking the lads confidence.
Does anyone else think John McAtee is starting to believe his own hype? Iām concerned his season could be fizzling out like a bottle of cheap pop.

Great to see Mortgagehound in here joining in with the hype for the big game tomorrow - a bigger Sc***horpe fan you frankly will not find! And I should know, after going door knocking in North Lincolnshire with belfastshrew one afternoon to see if we could find anyone to match the Hound's fanaticism (spoiler alert, we couldn't!)

When Salop next play Scunny, be that in 1 year, 5 years or 10, it would be lovely if there could be some kind of pre-match presentation to mark mortgagehoundās ceaseless enthusiasm and commitment to the iron-like bond between our two clubs.
Perhaps one to raise at the next Supporters Parliament?

Perhaps one to raise at the next Supporters Parliament? Lost a lot of respect for those OSC turncoats after the clippy debacle, but in fairness to them they've been in discussion with their Sc***horpe counterparts (coincidently also called the OSC - Original Sc***horpe Cheerleaders) about this for a while.

Scunny look to be likely relegation candidates for next season. Big clear out needed to prevent that happening I'd imagine.

Who's on everyone's wishlist for pre-season? Few of us planning on making a weekend of it if Brigg Town away is a goer, would be good to get that rivalry going again.

What's everyone having? Normally a Roast Pork kinda guy myself, but that Apricot and Walnut Roast does sound intriguing.
Just can't wait to be back at the Sands Venue Stadium tbf, it's been too long. Will imagine there'll be tears in mortgagehound's eyes as he climbs the stairs and emerges onto the iconic Britcon Stand. Up the Iron!

I wouldnāt be at all surprised if a few of the Scunny regulars on here are on first name terms with the kitchen staff. I expect a word in the right place from the likes of mortgagehound or schizo will open a lot of doors for previously āfullā reservation schedules, so if youāre having any booking issues maybe drop a note in here.

Not a good start, not a good start at all.
Had to watch the game via one of Mortgagehound's Dutch Irons contacts facetiming me while he watched on Ifolow, while at the Salop game, so can't pretend I'm in the best position to comment tactically, but that seemed disjointed fare against a poor Swindon side. Sort it out Coxy!

Canāt lie, it was great to be back at a ground yesterday. Fans, pints, pre-match buzz.
The only thing I underestimated was the number of Salopian Irons who would pick the Salop game. Was expecting the usual dozen or so stood near me but it sounds like most of them attended in SY3 instead.

Evening Ironhands,
I don't need to tell you what a big game it is tomorrow. It's huge. Massive. flipING enormous.
Mortgagehound was heard chuckling and telling all and sundry as he left Bolton "Ah well, at least we'll be playing the Iron again."
Errrr, have you seen the table? Salop going down to L2 would be a disaster, Scunny dropping to non-league and denying us the pleasure of that fixture would be frankly catastrophic.
Safe to say there's a lot of nerves in this correspondent's Harrogate Airbnb. Schizo and The Hound's game of scrabble is doing little to calm everyones mental state and The Tactician's attempt to lead a chant of "Any Old Iron" as we left the Harrogate Tap couldn't have gone down much worse.
UTI, In Coxy We Trust.
