You can tell that to Mr Grant, because I’m not. Off topic - what type of mobile phone have you got, Ticket Inspector? It must be pretty good to get a reception around Builth Road and Llandovery on the Central Wales Line.

As I said, I have a common or garden I-phone and I can not get any kind of reception in the areas of Central Wales that your trains operate in.

From Shropshire Star:
Meanwhile, it is understood that banished Town midfielder Anthony Grant is a target for League Two clubs Salford City and Swindon Town.
Big-spending Salford have been in pole position to land the midfielder’s signature but Swindon is also an option should Grant prefer a move back down south.
Ricketts said: “I don’t know, we’ll just see what happens there.
Grant, who triggered another year deal at Shrewsbury, was told to train with the youth team earlier this summer for reasons that have been kept private.

Cant really understand why SR is getting so much stick over Grant when none of us know the circumstances.

Sometimes managing a difficult player is in order to get the best out of them even though they can be trouble. Sometimes, it is being strong enough to say 'I don't care how good you are, or how much you earn - you cannot act with impunity, and you are not bigger than the club'.

Its none of your ****ing business what's gone on. Like it's none of your business disciplinary matters at your work or mine.

I thought it was common knowledge why he left? It’s due to the incident last season

Cant really understand why SR is getting so much stick over Grant when none of us know the circumstances. We can deduce that something happened prior to pre season as the club made a statement he hadn’t returned due to dental work. Whist this could be true it wasn’t the reason as he’d already not returned and not been included in the Portugal trip prior to the announcement of training with the youth squad et al....if it was a serious offence as rumoured then we have been able to sack him for gross misconduct ... this could be because we wanted to cash in but his wages since the end of June are probably more than any undisclosed fee we manage to get. Ricketts has got history of getting rid of fans favourites hence the mistrust.

Hang on we played 9 games after the Plymouth game when he played his part and many more after the Railway incident so why decide in the transfer window and make an announcement regarding an inhouse undisclosed incident that makes it harder to sell him on?

I assume he's going nowhere unless we pay him off and cancel his registration.
Then as a free agent he'll no doubt sign for Salford or Swindon the following day.

It's a strange Juan. I assume he was offered a pay off as is customary in these circumstances, but chose to continue drawing his salary. While he will be doing very nicely in the short term, it's a dangerous strategy in the long term. What club would offa him more than a short term deal in the future?
