Gunn cost ÂŁ13m last summer and was a regular in Southamptons side. Shows how well thought of he is.

VAR again. Choudhury was booked for the second penalty foul. The referee saw it and it was his decision. In comes VAR, interfering again with its unrealistic slow motion, and it becomes a red card.
VAR in principle is good. In practice itâs dreadful.

Well done VAR. A good contest reduced to a game of attack v defence.

Mad to lose 2-1in injury time. Wan- Bissaka slicing g it into his own net . Talk of millions being spent by Man Utd trying to sign him. Seems very right footed when he should have cleared it with his left. Sending off made all the difference leaving France to attack constantly. Nearly got away with it but not to be. Deano would be happy with his performance unsightwd for 1st goal .

What Iâm against is VAR overruling a refâs decision when he obviously saw the tackle.

Bit harsh after loads of clean sheets last year. Not his biggest fan as a person but think that's harsh, he's got a big future.

The basics have gone out of the window in the current climate. It may not be pretty but if you are under pressure at the back, the safest option is still to aim for Row Z - not many goals are scored from there. Keepers must always remember to get a part of their body behind their hands as an insurance. Then there is my pet hate - the number of goals at even the highest levels hat are conceded because no-one is stationed inside both posts. I guess I am a dinosaur, but the modern way of defending leaves a lot to be desired.

Ederson had a helping in like 20 of Cityâs goals last season from moments where he could have just booted it into the stands or caught it. Made very few blunders and is most peopleâs keeper of the season. If you wanna be a good keeper nowadays things like this are vital, if youâre just a decent shot stopper thatâs not enough. Also - pretty embarrassing seeing crops of Premier League players and those who insist should be playing be so outplayed.

The comment about Row Z was aimed more at centre backs facing their own goal under pressure, or trying to play their way out of trouble whilst finding themselves as last man with an opponent in close proximity. As for the City keeper and also the guy at Liverpool, they are exceptions to the rule that most keepers are not brilliant with their feet.

I know I shouldnât be surprised by this given what modern Premier League football is like but I still find it amazing someone can be paid ÂŁ25k a week when they havenât even made a competitive appearance for the first team yet, hope he does make it at Old Trafford though, I reckon they will tie him down to a new long term contract at MUFC before sending him back on loan to Bramall Lane for another season.

It's ludicrous. If he's good enough to play at the top level now, then he'll go back to Sheffield United and it'll be for the clubs to agree how much they have to contribute to his wages. At least he'll be playing in the PL to justify the money (not that it's ever really justified). It's all relative, so I can't blame him - everyone else is on the gravy train at our expense. He remains far too inconsistent to be reliable as first choice for one of the top clubs though. He's got a long way to go before he gets there and he's not endearing himself to United fans at the moment with his "confidence".
