Blimey, that is a blast from the past. I think the most I see of Admiral these days is the retro England shirts. No surprise that its difficult to get something together from the majority of manufacturers so I'm just wondering why we didn't keep with Errea. I think both home shirts have been superb, wouldn't have minded continuing with them (if that was an option). Still, lets see what they come up with... Looking to their website I'd be happy with the "Southamption" shirt in blue and amber...

Yeah, thought the Errea kit and merchandise was good. Maybe they thought we didn't sell enough shirts for them to profitably produce one. Just hope we continue with stripes for next season, as that's my preferred style.
Maybe after Admiral, we could try Umbro. Would love that.

Like the idea of Admiral making the Town kit for next season, as already stated old school. I had the '78 Admiral England top as a 10 year old and loved it....wore it so much that the Admiral and England badges washed off because they were some sort of ironed on shiny plastic transfer type thing Back in the '70s and early 80's Admiral made all the top clubs kits.

So the last 2 home shirts have only lasted a season, I’m really surprised by this didn’t Brian say once he believes the home kit should last for 2 seasons...
After re-jigging my memory since the Special 125 anniversary kit all home shirts have lasted 2 seasons up until the last 2 seasons
11/12 & 12/13 - Joma Blue and Amber stripes 13/14 & 14/15 - Surridge Blue and thin Amber stripes 15/16 & 16/17 - Errea Predominantly Amber with Blue stripes
Now 17/18 & 18/19 lasted only a season. I guess people who don’t buy kits won’t be that bothered but people who like to buy new kits like myself have to consider forking out yet again.

I do think Brian is showing his worth again here; we have to wait and see what we'll end up with but it's good that he wants to have something bespoke otherwise we'd no doubt have to forgo on the blue and amber and the stripes might have to have gone for a Burton. Plus I think fans want to have something that is unique to them rather than something that is off the peg and available to anyone, that sort of thing matters. Which I think he gets...

At the meeting last night Brian all but ruled out using a Nike or Adidas as we want a bespoke color and design...

Hopefully better sizing than Errea - fed up of still wearing clippy shirts!

And I don't think there are too many options with that colour combination anyhow when it comes to the likes of Nike and Adidas. Would rather have hoped that with the increase in sales reported (since we went back to the Loggerheads and blue and amber stripes) we'd be more of an attractive proposition for your kit suppliers. Did he say anything about the options that were available (other than Admiral)? Hope we're not set to struggle in the future...

If you can kick matters off it’ll save me asking around for volunteers (or as we call them at my workplace,“volun-tears” roflmao).

I do wonder why there was no consultation with fans whatsoever...... we have design competitions in the past with vote for your choice decisions made by the fans for the fans.....
This time the club have made all the decisions without consultation unless that’s been done behind closed doors a la Sam Ricketts meetings?

Just because it's done once, doesn't mean that's how it should always be done - nor does it mean it's the right way. Who's to say Admiral are open to a bespoke design from the minds of fans? I'd be surprised if we ever had that with a kit manufacturer from the off. This is a two-year agreement, with an option to extend. Lets just see what we get first off, before we whinge and moan! Personally, as long as they're logical sizings (don't get me started on these last Errea kits) and they're incorporating blue, amber and maybe a bit of white, I'll be happy.

We do get to design the away kit. Well someone will. Pretty sure I read that someplace. And its great that because I think the kids like that, engages the fans really well a kit design competition...

The away kit has already been mocked up and designed I believe... I'm sure someone said they'd seen it and it was purple and black pinstriped

I thought there was to be a design competition. Sure I read that somewhere. Shame that. Not keen on purple...

Unless the Away Shirt is a fan vote, and the (in my opinion unnecessary) third shirt is purple (or vice-versa). Worth noting though that all the club's commercial sponsor announcements for the away shirt have been on a purple and black striped background...
