Mark Duffy anyone........... Too late. Our chance came and went 10 years ago. We also missed out on signing Carl Baker at more or less the same time. Our Merseyside scout from Blue and Amber recommended both to the Club, but was given short shrift. Morecambe picked both of them up.

I wonder if Eoin Doyle will be released by Bradford City?
He would be a useful striker to have on the books.

It is now the time to go from "why didn't we sign" to "why don't we sign" along with the basic parameters left out; 1. Wages 2. Geographical location 3. Competition 4. Where they think we will be in May 2020 5. Age and shelf life 6. Do they fit the structure/team character 7. Do they want to come here etc
It's quite simple really, no different when recruiting for any business. Or we could just flash the cash and be bust in 2 years, this is the model that all decent sustainable businesss uses, and as someone once said to me if it was your money what would you do.

From my understanding Shrewsbury are interested in signing Telford’s prolific striker Daniel Udoh He was listed in a national newspaper a while ago among those non-league players that EFL clubs should be looking at. It would be disappointing if we haven't scouted him.

In 2008/09, Whalley was playing for Wrexham. I'm sure he'd like to expunge that from his memory banks! www.soccerbase.com/players/player.sd?player_id=39596&season_id=138

new goalkeeper. ( the more i see of Mitchell ,the more relived he is here on loan and we can send him back, unless Ricketts has lost the plot Cook wont get an extension) Arnold number 2 next season.
with Sears injured and Bolton not yet signed we will need a right back , two center backs , left back holding midfielder( dont see grant staying) , attacking midfielder( cant see us getting Docherty back), send Payne back to his club. two forwards and try to get Campbell back i hope Edwards will be fit but i think his body has had enough so expect him to have another year in and out of the physio room so another rebuild ,let us hope Ricketts brings in the players we need and next season we see a much fitter town who manage to play for 90 minutes and a midweek game. since we moved out of all of this apart from last year, we have spent most years in the bottom half. we dont seem to show any sign of progression to been a more mid table team. let us hope we can play good football , have an organised team with a better defence.

Peterborough aren't messing about in bringing in new players. www.peterboroughtoday.co.uk/sport/football/posh/peterborough-united-move-quickly-to-sign-four-new-players-1-8915995" Posh chairman Darragh MacAnthony revealed on social media last night (May 4) that four new players - two centre-backs, a right-back and a left-back - had already put pen to paper with a goalkeeper and a central midfield player expected to follow soon. No names have been disclosed, but Posh have recruited from the Championship, League One and League Two. Some are still playing for their current clubs."There are obviously a lot of right backs around but Lewis Cox referred to League One big hitters being interested in James Bolton recently, I wonder if he's the right back they're referring to.

Don't expect such 'POSH' action from S.T.F.C. it will be the usual wait until nearer the end of the transfer window still trying to bring 'targets' in as the pool of decent players available diminishes, such is the modus operandi of a prudently run football club!

Peterborough always seem to be quick when it comes to spending money, whether it be recruitment or wages, but hey guess which league they will be in again next season.

Wouldn’t be surprised to see a couple of loans coming in from Reading and/or Wolves.
Tom McIntyre (Reading defender) seems highly rated by them and could be in for a season loan out to get 1st team action. Reading keeper on loan at Eastleigh (Southwood?) looks decent too.

What about Gary hooper, let go by sheff wed, how old is he now? Gary Hooper is 31 which according to the Guinness Book Of World Records makes him the oldest player called Gary Hooper currently playing in the EFL.
