Bolton have not been punished for failing to play Brentford last game, as the 12 pts are for financial iregularity? This has to be more points deducted? As for Bury, they are toast. The only reason the jokers that run our game have delayed their execution is to make themselves look less useless. Three down this year folks. We should go for that Harry Bunn

It is totally unfair on the clubs they’re due to play on Saturday and whenever these games might be rearranged. Both clubs knew when the season started so how long are the weak EFL going to give them? I’m still waiting for Bolton to be punished for failing to fulfill their last fixture from last season, but not holding my breath. Any club not in a fit state to start the season should be out, it has an impact on other clubs that are - and ultimately the outcome at the other end.

It's taking the p**s to a new level !!! Why? They have complied with the rules. But only by borrowing money from the PFA. Not a great way for new owners to start off

Both clubs should be expelled, with other better run clubs promoted from the national league (not Wrexham). I would imagine if that happened then they would just run L1 with 22 clubs this season and wouldn't relegate anyone from L2 and promote 2 as normal. Gives the problem to the National League but would also depend what happens to Bolton & Bury I doubt they would be able to play in any league this season. if the EFL follow their own rules if a team drops out after AGM then one less team relegated. If both fold it would be two down only from League 1 and no Relegation from League 2 That does depend on EFL following their own rules and we know how good they are at doing that

Feel sorry for the true Bolton fans, but how many times are clubs going to let themselves be duped by entertaining shysters like Bassini,Vaughan, etc., etc.?

Goes to show how lucky we are to have Mr Wycherley as Chairman - Shrewsbury Town FC are rightly regarded as a “lower league club” who does their business correctly, both on and off the pitch.

Bassini is a first class icehole who should never be allowed anywhere near a football club. (I have redrafted this many times to tone it down!!)

8,901. They didn't start selling tickets until Friday when the EFL said there was no legitimate reason to suspend the game.

Call me cynical but this strikes me as an attempt to buy time to get the Buy out completed and some new signings in through the door before the end of the month.

I'm sorry but this is becoming a joke now. You can't complain that your player's are to young if you actually want to compete In league 1.They were down to only six first team players when they were given permission to start the season. Two of which were keepers and others were obviously going to leave in the coming weeks! For crying out loud, surely someone at the EFL should have pointed out to them that you can't come crying to us in a few weeks that your kids are finding it to grueling! So we are still waiting for the punishment for not playing the Brentford match and now there saying that they effectively want a rest ! F**k off Bolton. Your embarrassing...

Where is the leadership indeed. This is ****ing farcical now this. So what now, are Donny awarded the three points, do Bolton receive another points deduction? What a mess, what a farce.

I wonder whether it's to do with player insurance? I've talked about Widnes/Bury on the other disaster thread but we had a fixture forcibly postponed because insurance cover for the players couldn't be arranged in time.
I don't know how this interminable and embarrassing saga will be resolved but there should be hell to pay for the EFL if these clubs aren't in League 2 or lower next season.

Shame we can't call ours off. Wait for our injured players to get better.
What a farce.

Maybe we should request to postpone tomorrow night's game because we've got a number of injuries to key personnel in midfield and are having to play 17 and 18 year olds??!! F**king EFL are useless, they knew that Bolton would start their League 1 campaign with only six first team players and a bunch of kids/trainees so again are complicit in this shambles of a situation..

Total farce which is continuing to damage the integrity of League One as a competition.
You don't have to be that cynical to see this as a ploy to delay fixtures so they're not miles adrift by the time they sort themselves out.
Handing three points to Donny, however, is arguably unfair on clubs who will play them when they could have strengthened significantly.

Kick them out with Bury. Harsh I know, but anything else is unfair to all the other League One sides.

Why don't they just do the decent thing and withdraw from the league? And yes I know, pigs might fly EFL....hang your heads in shame.

The situation with both clubs would be farcical if wasn’t so dreadful. For these situations to be allowed to happen is absolutely disgraceful from the EFL.
It would appear that no thought or consideration is being given to the other clubs in the league whatsoever. No one is thinking anything through at all.
Both clubs should leave the league and the whole of the EFL should resign. They are not fit for purpose.
In the meantime perhaps ALL league one clubs should refuse to play and we’ll all have a season off shall we??!!!!!!!
