We are currently averaging 6116 6216 at home this season which, all things considered is not too bad. We should boost our average even further with Oxford and Walsall to come.
Of course the figure is deceptive as it does include season ticket holders BUT at the end of the day it's not too bad, not bad at all.

It would be interesting if the real figures were released, with season ticket holders who don't attend not included.
The Club must have the figures, as every bar code is scanned at the turnstiles.
As it is, only the Cup Games produce the actual attendance.
But this is the way most Clubs issue the figures apparently.

This season we will beat 6,249 from last season which was our highest since moving to Oteley Road. Very promising signs. With Shropshire’s population increasing at a rapid pace maybe the club could cash in. Get the advertising right and good deals for families things could be looking very rosy. Get your season ticket now before the deadline at 1 today.

Agree. 900 new houses being built on Oteley Road, at the moment, so yeh club should be doing everything they can to appeal to that captive market.

I think you’ll find...
We are rotten to the core.
BC is not good enough, corrupt and offers us nothing.
We need different owners to progress.
I’m fairly content with how we are at the moment after pre season/early season upheaval but I’m sure there are others who are gutted that we appear to not be getting relegated.
The ship seems to be steadying. Ricketts has got a lot to do but signs are better and when you look off the field at safe standing, a busy supporters bar, busy fan zone, toilet seats and attendances that have not diminished like some (very few) had predicted, we’re not doing too badly.

With 50points now in the bag I think we have to say a big thank you to Coyne and Ramsey who stepped in at a difficult time and got us the points to give Ricketts a fighting chance. Without those points we would have been down there with Walsall or even Bradford. A great effort which means we can enjoy our last couple of home games.

There have been several games this season where the official attendance has been 6k plus but the West Stand has been sparsely populated.
Let's see what season ticket renewals look like before we break out the champagne.

There is absolutely no place whatsoever on this board for positivity or “good news stories”! Utterly shameful and im heartened that some of the more seasoned posters who cannot abide encouragement and optimism have waded in there with there much welcome servings of pessimism and cynicism!

We seem to have steadied a little, helped by the fact some teams have imploded. Bradford are just poor, but it's helped Ricketts that Walsall, Accrington, Southend & Wycombe have all dropped like a stone. We've picked up a couple of nice results.
Hopefully we'll recruit positively in the summer, although i won't hold my breath. Williams, Waterfall & Beckles have done well at times recently, Norburn will come on and Okenhiberie shows quality, otherwise there's not much left really to be honest if we fancy having a crack at top half.
The club could incentivise but likely won't, we're far behind other clubs in terms of community/youth engagement in my opinion. May as well give 500-1000 tickets a week to schools and their parents, it's rare we're anywhere near capacity. It's alright giving under 12's free season tickets, but we need their 30-50 year old parents coming as well, they're the ones who are going to be spending at the end of the day. If 500 pairs of adult and kids attended in what would be empty seats and on average spent £10 it's £5000 extra per game. It's not life changing for the club but they're empty seats anyway. You never know, by 2020/21 they could be season ticket holders, regulars, someone who starts travelling away.

There really is no defence of the secretary. Refrshment kiosk worker to club secretary in a limited time, contract gaff after contract gaff the list is just endless, yet she remains. The majority know why, it's hardly the best kept secret is it.

We're had some real good points this season with safe standing, finally fixing minor issues around the ground, the fan zone, supporters bar now, the steward who made the national press assisting the away fan.
Common theme here though is the SP, without them 90% of the good things (And ridiculous things like toilet seats) simply wouldn't have happened and they need to be continually thanked for their efforts. Some credit has to go to Brian for meeting with the SP also, he's just distracted from his good work here in other areas, but still deserves credit on this basis.

If something is rotten to the core then by definition nothing productive can come from it as it is 'rotten'. Have you decided now to withdraw from your original position? Bravo if true.

No we're not. My son's school had free tickets for the Portsmouth game (including parents), the school notice boards are full of photos of senior players visiting and STITC will be attending the Summer Fair. The Club kindly donate tickets and other merchandise when we on the PTA request it for raffle. I know they do other schools as well. Obviously.

Fantastic effort all

Apparently she’s made a few gaffs with regards to contract clauses, most notably Jake Robinson. I too, however, am very interested in the reason ‘she remains’...

You can understand why I overheard Salopians referring to him as ‘Maretin Shrew’ in the pre-match boozer.

Make that 6,216. 14th best in the league, just one different (13th) to our actual league position. Two decent crowds expected should easily push the average over the 6,300 mark. www.footballwebpages.co.uk/league-one/attendances

I’d guess a lot of season ticket holders don’t go to 23 home league games. That could be because they’re on holiday, working, poorly, have another engagement etc as well as, which some people always infer from non-attending STHs, that they’re unhappy with the club/team/manager. If I bought a cup ticket and couldn’t go, would I still be counted? Seems appropriate to count everyone who’s bought a ticket.

How has a thread about ticket sales turned to chat about Jake Robinson and Tom Bradshaw. This bloody forum, honestly. Back on topic, to only be 50 down on last seasons sales is a fantastic effort, I honestly thought we'd be looking at a reduction in the 100s.

Was more the fact we didn't insert a clause so he couldn't play against us, then he scored a hat trick to put Torquay 5-0 up in the first leg of the playoffs if my memory serves me right?
