Could well be although you would think people would know by now that standards vary from season to season!!!!
I know of one season ticket holder not renewing due to ill health and there could be many others with differing reasons.

The club does appear to have a larger than average number of elderly supporters many of whom are season ticket holders so it is a fact that many will pass away or suffer from poor health resulting in non renewal of a season ticket and I am sure we all know of such cases. It is important for the club to recognize this and offer incentives to get younger supporters on board with season tickets especially families. I think over the last few seasons we must have recruited a few through the excellent work carried out by the community side of the club. Whilst the footballing side of the club is always going to have its ups and downs, the community side appears to go from strength to strength and is a credit to the club. This can only help with the increase in future support and future season ticket holders.

Many clubs don’t acknowledge that a lot of young adults, not just students, don’t have much disposable income.

Did we finish on 3500 in the end?

Season tickets for under 12s are free and as already posted, 19-23 year olds benefit from a discounted rate so I said the club is working to encourage younger supporters.

Nope - for the first time in over 15 years will not be re-newing.
TBH it's not even about the football it's about the lack of consultation from the Club about those of us effected by safe standing....Mr Caldwell in particular .
Don't get me wrong progress is progress - I don't object to SS at all. But the initial let's not tell those effected attitude from the Club and then the "put up and shut up" approach peeved me.
Those that know me know I don't jump up and down...I'm just going to vote with my feet for a while.
good luck to you all....and once again I am not anti safe standing.
