They're still in with a realistic chance of staying up. If they go down why would they want to replace Paul Warne who has a track record of getting them promoted from League 1 and is every bit as much a club legend as Paul Hurst?

The Championship is a step too far for Warne just as it was for Hurst at Ipswich. If they do go down they could do worse than stick with Warne next season. If they stay up however a change of Manager with some experience in the Championship could benefit them.

Losing 6-1 to Derby isn't going to help Warne's cause much.

I remember talking to some millers fans at the play off game and they said they were not sure they wanted to go up as they enjoyed winning and knew the champlonship would result in losing a lot and relegation to top it all off.

Like Burton before them, to finish outside of the bottom three would be a tremendous achievement for a club of Rotherham's size. The gap between The Championship and League One is getting wider every year and it's generally only the much bigger clubs that get promoted up to The Championship that can compete.

To think that had Town gone up we might have been even less points than Ipswich this season. Would still love to be there though (I think). How do people think we would have done this season in the Championship and with Hurst still in charge?

Difficult to say, certainly don't think we would have done any worse than Wigan even, I felt we were as good as Wigan, we lost to Rotherham because of what went on behind closed doors, I guess we will never know.

I think if we had gone up, and Paul Hurst had stayed, we would probably have struggled with last season's squad. But may have given it a good go if that squad had been strengthened by four more 'quality' players.
