That’s bad news for him. Hope he gets well soon. Being serious, it is terrible timing for him Who knows what it does for the team. I assume Mitchell will be number 1 and perhaps he will be excellent

He had improved in recent weeks.
Just hope it doesn’t take too long for Mitchell to get up to speed.

Not in the way anyone would wish, I hope. I meant Arnold being replaced. The circumstances are I agree most unfortunate.

I always had faith in Arnold but now Mit hell or Cooke will have a chance to shine. A very tough baptism for for whoever is chosen as a defeat at Southend could be critical. Fate is cranking up the pressure in the most frustrating season in many years.

That decision to sign two goalkeepers in January now isn't looking quite so bad. At least we have some sort of reasonable cover for the remaining games rather than have Coyne or Gregory on the bench.

I meant reasonable in terms of having some recent, Mitchell more so than Charles-Cook, playing experience in the Football League as opposed to having been a goalkeeping coach or playing youth team football.

Arnold's done well behind a defence which has offered little protection. Presuming he was only given a 1 year deal so probably played his last game for us.

Well at least we know if our medical staff are doing their best to get get him fit he won’t pay them back by hopping off immediately to another club!!! Release Charles Cook, send Mitchell back to Derby, and find a new keeper for next season, with Arnold being the regular number 2.
