Doyle is one of the many strikers we could have signed but haven't.
This match has gone.

The Chairman should of had some balls and got Hurst back in!! Bringing Hurst back would have been the opposite of having some balls.

Out of his depth very much like Askey. Caldwell and Wycherly had the chance to appoint an experienced manager and build on what Coyne did but went cheap and went for a guy with no experience.
They will be to blame when we go down! Championship chasing club my a***
29 days into the window and not one players bad been signed who has improved our first team starting 11
Time to go RW you have taken us as far as you are able to

He’s had time to make changes I really think Holloway shouldn’t even be in the first eleven or either on the bench or make the seats behind the dug out at home not good enough the list goes on fed up of it now we just never learn from mistakes and we will pay for it this season people at the top have questions to answer on appointments

What made you pick that username? imitation is the best form of flattery. Take away the great FA Cup results and look at the rest of the results under Ricketts? The only club I can recall sacking a manager who'd won 5 out of his last 6 games? Unbelievable.

Salop results in the league under SR:
Plymouth W 2-0 Burton L 1-2 Peterborough D 2-2 Coventry W 1-0 Accrington L 2-1 Sunderland D 1-1 Fleetwood D 1-1 Charlton L 0-3 Blackpool D 0-0 Bradford L 3-4
That's 2 Wins, 4 Losses, 4 Draws from 10 league games. [20/40/40%]
Under Askey in the league we were: 4 Wins, 6 Draws, 7 losses. [24/35/41%]
Very similar....

Going back to the original thread title, very definitely not.
Rickett's appointment makes Mike Jackson's elevation to the post in 2014 seem inspired.

Get an experienced assistant manager in FFs.
We have a coaching team with no experience of being first team coaches prior to their appointment and a manager whose first job was less than a year ago.
Our fitness levels are shocking too.
RW has to throw money at a new LB and GK.
We are 29 games into the season and still don’t know our best formation.
Still time to turn it around though!!

Agree with some of that but I'm not sure LB & GK are the priorities! We've only 1 right back, 1 left back, only 3 centre backs available, only 1 reliable striker at the club and only 2 wingers both of which aren't fit at the moment and poor fitness levels And 2 days to fix it!
