Very underwhelming. Cheap option too. Let's hope he will be 4th choice and we will be bringing in a decent partner for fey. So after seeing Angol and AAH you’d still be rather we persevered with them?? He could end up being an excellent partner for Fey. I’m amazed at how many people can write him off before giving him a chance but should be used to it by now. Happened with Henderson and Roberts who were both too young but went on to be excellent and playing top of the Championship now.

Just read the interview with him and he certainly keeps good company in that he spoke to Dean Henderson and Ben Godfrey about coming here. Well whatever comes of it that's great to hear, not only that those players who have spent time with us speak highly of the club but that may well serve us well attracting one or two more to come here rather than elsewhere. Good stuff Town...

I would have preferred Sam Surridge from Bournemouth, but I'm not convinced either are the type of signing we need in the midst of a League 1 relegation battle. Marc McNulty is also at Reading and has been transfer listed, that would have been a good loan signing. he was scoring a goal every other game for coventry but has only scored 1 goal for reading, he seems to have fallen out of favour there as they only signed him in 2018. Sunderland are rumoured to be interested in him.

Okay, let us be realistic here. We will not be getting a proven 20 goals a season forward. Why, because we don't pay the best wages and are looking at a relegation battle. The best we can hope for is young striker who might become a 20 goal a season striker or an experienced striker dropping down the leagues whose hoping to rejuvenate his career. That is were we are.

I can’t see this one saving us from the drop. I’m still hopeful Ricketts will prove he’s got a bit more about him in the market than this..
Anyway, good luck to the lad. Hope your ‘hard work’ results in more starts and goals here than it did at Oxford. Our scouts must see things differently!

We have money in the bank....some of it should have been invested wisely at the start of the season when we had momentum on and off the field after last seasons exploits. We missed a massive opportunity to build progressively due to the wrong choice in manager and a total failure to invest in areas we have been crying out for for seasons. Now it’s back to the same old ‘on the cheap’ crap we have become accustomed to over the years. Yes it January but I am completely underwhelmed by this as there are better options elsewhere. This signing is just a punt looking at his record and hardly an improvement on what we already have however; I hope to be proved wrong over the coming weeks.
