A Wolves fan writing in the ‘I’ newspaper today says he has his ticket among home supporters via a family member who is a Town ST holder. Brilliant, just about sums it up

The real problem here is the mates of Wolves fans who think they deserve a ticket over loyal town fans. I hope karma screws you over one day.

A Wolves fan writing in the ‘I’ newspaper today says he has his ticket among home supporters via a family member who is a Town ST holder. Disgraceful, yet unsurprising. The club have a lot to answer for on this. And shame on the morally-corrupt Town supporter who bought him the tickets.

I can only echo what others have said above. With this way of selling tickets there will be the same amount of ST holders friends/Wolves fans who’ve been given tickets as genuine Town fans who have less the 10 loyalty points. I have a problem with the loyalty points in general, as somebody who’s been going to approx 40 games per season for around 10 years I’ve now had to stop going as often due to finances and other commitments meaning I’m sitting on 6 loyalty points. 6 loyalty points for someone who’s been racking up 40 odd games a season but hasn’t been able to go much this season, travelled to 85+ grounds watching the club, just seems abit daft to me, I know many, many others have been going for much longer then me, I just don’t feel like a fan who deserves 6 loyalty points? Just abit of a rant which has been boiling up for a while, but I understand this is just how it works now, so be it. If I don’t get a ticket for this game I don’t get a ticket, the club have messed up again, the question is do I actually want to go to a game where half the crowd is either a local Wolves fan who’s got in the home end or just coming along for a big game. I do feel for you. My father is in the same boat as you. He is now 77, and has been to two games this season. So his chance of a ticket are virtually zero. Very disappointing by the club again Each season ticket holder should get just one ticket, their own ticket!! Then do a sale to 10 plus point's Then to 5 plus point's Then to 1 point plus I think it's a good idea to get kids into the ground though it's just been poorly executed. I think 1 or 2 extra tickets per ST holder would have been a lot fairer. Don't forget we nearly sold out vs Wolves at home when we last played them in the league & now they are a decent Premier league team so demand was always gonna be huge. I do hope that everybody who has attended games this season gets a ticket ( I think it'll b fine) if they want 1. Can you imagine the chaos that's gonna happen with tickets if this game goes to a replay.

Shame on any season ticket holder who has acquired a ticket for a Wolves supporter. Not only a disgrace to us but unfair on both sets of supporters.

I’ve read the piece again and the Wolves fan actually says ‘tickets’, obtained through his daughters boyfriend and her Dad. Then they should be ashamed of themselves. Hope they aren't near me.

disgrace . Come on Caldwell come out and explain yourself . If you limit it to one per person then some people will complain and a greater percentage will end up going on general sale, therefore more chance of Wolves fans buying them. Brian Caldwell/STFC are trying to do their best to make sure that tickets end up in the hands of Shrewsbury fans. They can't be held responsible if Shrewsbury fans are selling them onto Wolves fans. Whatever the club do, they will get criticised. The reality is despite lots of moaning, genuine fans will get a ticket. In previous games I've remembered lots of moaning/panic but very few people subsequently moaning they couldn't get a ticket. one ticket per client ref number is the fair way. It’s not the fair / unfairness of it . It’s dishing out 4 per ref number that’s the problem . I wonder how many adult wolves fans are going to be getting entry into the ground with kids tickets. Let’s face it our ticket system is a joke anyway . Fan cards / sts not working at turnstiles etc , how are they going to tell by the scanner if it’s an adult or child ? Stfc have ****ed it up , again .

I look forward to the boring 0-0 draw so we can have a replay and go through this whole thing again for away tickets.

I can just see little statuettes outside the turnstiles saying "you may only enter on a child ticket if smaller than this" !!

So is this saying season ticket holders have brought 4,050 tickets, or is that he total sold (so including away fans)

I don't necessarily have a problem with season ticket holders getting first dibs or even an extra ticket, but 3 extra is a bit much
Bigger problem with the wider loyalty point bands, if you've been to just 1 game you have the same entitlement as someone who has been to 9,that's surely not right

The same old usual moans and groans. The club try and reward season ticket holders by offering them a sweet package for their unwavering support this season. To those who have que'd and purchased one ticket that was your choice as you could've purchased via the phone or online. I really cannot see our 3000 season ticket holders each bringing a friend + 2 kids. If anything the take up of that offer will far less than half. A quick dash of my ticketing calculator then. 8300 ish available - 600 odd comps and sovereign - 3000 season ticket holders - 1500 take up of season ticket offer (generous imo) = 3200 available for 10+ loyalty points. Basically i would be very very suprised if it doesn't make 1-10 loyalty point bracket and even then if you are quick online then no sweat. Already sold 4500 to STH with tonight and tomorrow to go so we’re already eating into your 3200 left for Sunday www.shrewsburytown.com/news/2019/january/bc-on-season-ticket-sales-of-wolves-tickets/Think the problem may be the 1500 plus empty seats agains Stoke and the club wanting a sell out this game

I wonder if there are any ST holders out there who've bought a ticket for a mate who only has loyalty points.........
There might be.

I haven’t done that but don’t have a problem with someone who has. So long as the extra ticket goes to a genuine Shrews supporter that’s fine by me. If someone is buying to give to a wolves supporter just see my previous posts on the subject.

Us ST holders have used our extra ticket to buy for our mates so that they can sit together as they usually do. We've got a few who work shifts including some Saturdays, so can't justify a season ticket. Having said that, a couple of them went on a hopeless case scenario visiting Stoke last Toosday night, so I don't feel bad about buying for Juan of them.
I do agree though, that if a 6'3" 18 stone skoolboy with a scruffy beard and an old gold and black tie turns up in the home end, I wouldn't be best pleased.

Maybe a couple of hundred out, and I still think it will make it through to the 1-10 loyalty bracket, and like I said originally if those in that are quick they will get a ticket.

Shame on any season ticket holder who has acquired a ticket for a Wolves supporter. Not only a disgrace to us but unfair on both sets of supporters. Accordingtome on another thread doesn't see it as an issue. More than happy to sell spare tickets to Wolves fans for a profit. I just hope that there's no trouble in the home ends as a result.
