Having had time to reflect on Saturday, it's probably worth recognising that Charlton looked a decent side. Pace, width, strong at the back, a playmaker in the middle, a handful up front.
Hard to admit that given the way we dealt with them back in May, and even harder given that knob Bowyer is still in charge, but credit where credit is due, they were probably the best side we've seen at NM this season.
Doesn't change the fact that we were so poor, but it's a bit of perspective at least.

Yeah they looked a good side, Lyle Taylor and Johnny Williams were the stand out players, the latter in the middle ran the game for them, looks a class act at this level

Some perspective is that Town came into the game unbeaten at home in ten games whereas Charlton had lost three of their last four away games, but they could and should have gone away with a 5-0, or maybe even bigger, victory.

Wonder how he game would’ve gone if Laurent had scored the golden opportunity at 0-0, I don’t think we’d have lost.

At half time I felt like we should have been winning instead of losing as we had the best of the first half.
We the pushed on for the equaliser and their decent attacking players exploited the space.
Yes the second half was disappointing but I don't think it's as bad as everyone is making out.

Wonder how he game would’ve gone if Laurent had scored the golden opportunity at 0-0, I don’t think we’d have lost. not only that we gifted them all of their goals defending at the corner was shocking, it was most the game to be honest, waterfall had a shocker of a day keeper was awful for the 2nd, trying to save a shot inches out of his reach but using his wrong arm and then giving away a pen which Arnold could have done better on, ok a pen should result in a goal but if you go the right way and it goes under you then you might as well wear a blindfold and hope the ball hits you
