Having just landed on this thread it kinda dawns on you just how short of options we are... We really ought to be keeping the likes of Morris. Unless of course the manager is sure he can bring someone in. When I look to the squad list listed elsewhere here in B&A and you look to have played a part this season we look pretty thin on the ground (defo looking to the defense and up top). I guess we have options in midfield but thats about it. Is Edwards available to play today? I gather Whalley is sill injured. When things are going well it's a nice place to be to be able to say the defense/midfield/forward picks themselves. Not where we are currently though. We need options. Hope the club are working hard to bring that about this January...

Assuming Morris, Jones, Loft and Gnahoua aren't in SR's future plans and that Whalley is still injured, then those 18 plus Emmanuel are all we've got left standing! Not at all happy with having Angol as our only forward option on the bench, but at the moment what else can be done?

Arnold Haynes Sadler Waterfall Bolton Grant Docherty Norburn Laurent Holloway Okenbihrie I get that inverted wingers are part and parcel of the modern game. However, your continued insistence on inverted full backs really doesn’t sit well with me. If Haynes starts I’d have a strong preference for him operating on the left side of the park.

Well done sir.

I'd assume Loft isn't included in SR's plans either. I'd forgotten he's still here, but have now added him to the list.

I agree, but then we’re old school, when the team wore numbers relating to their positions 1 to 11 with 1 being goal- keeper, 2 RIGHT BACK, 3 LEFT BACK and so on. Number 7 RIGHT WING, Number 11 LEFT WING. AND, with the team sheet being in numerical order everyone knew who was playing where. Nowadays with a number 40 being a striker, i’m afraid we have no flipin’ chance of the youngfans getting it right. Shame really, and WRONG.

A little unsure how we can be so void of options and competition within the squad considering we spent (for Town anyhow) a fair bit this preseason. If we're left as is for the season then it's cause for concern I reckon...

Granted. But it’s clear from this week that we needed to get people off the books first. Hurst brought in Eisa last year and made it clear that he wouldn’t be in contention for first team so it happens.

I really don't know what to make of this... There are times when we play together and look as though we can cause some problems but then too many times when we don't look like a unit at all. It's a pretty open game, stretched early on and we have had plenty of the ball in their half and last third and whilst we have caused one or two problem, we've forced their keeper into a couple of good saves, more times than not we lose it or the player on the ball takes aim when better options are available. Once or twice the lads up top look a little frustrated with those around them. Don't know what to make of this at all... Think we're capable of a goal or two today but that goes for Charlton too

Relegation battle is real. Only five points off last place as things stand, let alone the bottom four. Plenty of time to get some momentum but it should be accepted that we are in a fight; playoff talk is absolute fantasy.

Sorry but we are crap.
Anyone who thought we would be in for a comfortable mid table finish should be under no illusions that we are in a relegation battle.
Not good enough.
