That will make the replay harder for us. Was hoping he'd stay until after that.

Looks like we missed our chance then. Would think it'll be a hell of a lot tougher now than what it would have been. Schade schade...

We can always hope the new man is not interested in the fa cup.

Thought we really had a chance with Rowett still being there next week.
It will be a completely different game now.

"A new managerial appointment will be made as swiftly as possible but in the meantime Rory Delap, Kevin Russell and Andy Quy will take charge of first-team affairs."

"A new managerial appointment will be made as swiftly as possible but in the meantime Rory Delap, Kevin Russell and Andy Quy will take charge of first-team affairs." At least it isn't Danny Coyne and Eric Ramsey. They say two's company, three's a crowd so maybe their motley crew will trip over each other tactics wise - seems like they are being run by a committee.

We can always hope the new man is not interested in the fa cup. Or just doesn't want to face Wolves in one of his first competitive matches. Two teams that have very much swapped places over just a season or two.

I don't mind helping out by picking the Stoke team for the cup replay.

More or less said every swear word I could of think of, under my breath of course, when this was announced! Hopefully, they won't get anyone new in by next week and the caretakers will behave like the three stooges on the sideline!

look on the positive side
hardly any managers arrive just in time for a banana skin cup tie
might just be a caretaker in charge

Stoke will really fancy playing Wolves in the next round so that doesn't help.

Personally I think Rowett has been hard done by, he inherited a difficult job. His record, apart from his time at Stoke is good, so I'm sure he'll get snapped up elsewhere before too long.

There may not be any uplift in performance with a new man at the helm, just look at us, we've gone backwards.

Looks like it's Nathan Jones. Not sure how the pottery botherers will take that.
I best remember him for his rather excessive warming up at the meadow a few years back whilst on the bench for Brighton.
He's done well mind.

Very good and upcoming Manager looks like Stoke's plan is to try and find the next young coach a bit like town's plan, it also costs less than chasing all the usual suspects who are out of a job! Pity for Luton for sure maybe Rowett will go there or even Hurst!

Does this mean Luton will lose interest in Bryn Morris?

Could derail Luton's promotion push.
Imagine if Ipswich had come after Hurst last January …..

"Nathan Jones" was a hit single for the Supremes and Bananarama. Can't remember how it goes but it features the line "Nathan Jones, you've been gone too long", so maybe one for the Luton terraces in due course …..

Seems like a very Hurstlike appointment, Mr Coates should have spoke to the Ipswich chairman and perhaps thrown their net a bit higher. A great move for Jones and it sets him up for a while financially win or lose, but you would feel a bit underwhelmed if you were a Stoke fan (big club and all that)given what is out there at the moment, bit like some on here recently!!! Good luck to though and he seems a decent sort.

Lightening fast appointment.

Luton fans won’t be happy with him for walking out halfway through what could be a great season for them, but it doesn’t take much to p**s them off anyway!

Walsall’s form didn’t seem to dip after Dean Smith left to join Brentford either and were just pipped to automatic promotion by Burton. If the dressing room harmony at Luton is good they should all stick together and should carry on doing ok as a new man coming in won’t need to change much.
