clearly Rickets is concerned but not clear from the article in the Shropshire star if it is the same knee he injured for Newport in the 2016/17 season
i hope he makes a speedy recovery

And comes back better. A good professional so will do as he is told by those aiding his recovery.
A player I really want to succeed.

A great professional and really nice chap. Personally I would much prefer to see him in the team than Angol.

He's a good pro and by all accounts he's a very decent person.
I wish him a speedy recovery and a good future career.
But he's not league one standard and at least this forces us to replace him.

Atleast someone’s got a pair to say it. Wish him the best, but if it is a long injury as feared, I really hope we never see him in blue and amber again. He’s just not good enough

Good to see the spirit of Christmas is still alive and well on B&A.

A massive shame for him but hardly a loss to our team. That said, his teammates absolutely adore him but I assume this is personal friendship only rather than an admiration for his playing ability....

i am not a fan of Lewis but he is still a person who has a family and a living to make ,with his previous injury he lost a season. wishing a speedy recovery and wanting him to play for us for me are two different things. this injury combined whatever is going on with Angol you would hope make the club look for a forward.

That said, his teammates absolutely adore him but I assume this is personal friendship only rather than an admiration for his playing ability.... It seems to me to be not just friendship but admiration for how he goes about things off the pitch and helping younger players. If Anthony Grant, a seasoned pro, admires him that's good enough for me. Grant doesn't strike me as the type to take fools gladly.

Players we have lost to this sort of knee injury over the last few years have been more key players
Ogogo Brown NKP Wesloski
So we could say we as a club got lucky its just one of the fringe players not a starter week in week out
However its a bugger for him, hes a hard worker who does lack quality, but you dont wish or want to see anyone get a serious injury like this. Hopefully we help him though this, and can get him to a stage where a club will take him on in the summer and he continue his career elsewhere. You have to think he will go now, makes us offering him a contract a bit less unlikely (but I said that last summer!)
Good luck with the rehab and hopefully the STFc medical team can do just a good a job with him as the last few player we have had go though this...

Who is an 'armchair' fan? I've watched LJL many times, and like nearly everyone else on here regard him as not up to League 1 standard.
And you are not correct unless you are talking about the Checkatrade. PH never started LJL in a League game.

I think i will take the opinions of Paul Hurst, John Askey, Danny Coyne and now Sam Ricketts above anyone on here, they are all obviously deluded, but it would appear that they all see him as a player, and he obviosly follows there instructions, and delivers what they want!!

We get to decide if the manager is rubbish and to force him out. We pontificate on the CEO and to declare, despite clear evidence to the contrary, that RW is unambitious. I suppose it's called having an opinion and there's no arguing with that. It's just that those who sit in the most comfortable armchairs are often the most opinionated.

Yes they see value, as a fringe player but NONE of them have ever considered him a good starting striker for a League 1 team... just an option off the bench.

He certainly didn't deliver what we wanted before the 2nd Rotherham goal in the Final last year. Totally failed to track Wood, and his reaction afterwards showed he knew it.
And the way Beckles gave away that penalty and then didn't get anywhere near Wood for their 1st goal makes me have reservations about putting him in at CB. He's certainly struggled since, albeit in the unfamiliar role of LB.

But if the bloke in charge had been paying attention he would have put a defender on - JB - instead and then who knows what might have happened. Harsh to blame one or two players for the complete and utter shambles that could have been one of our best days ever.

Harsh to blame one or two players for the complete and utter shambles that could have been one of our best days ever. I don't. The blame for what happened lies squarely on one man. PH. Heard a rumour last week that his old mate Warne might be finding him a job at Rotherham!

Coincidence or something in it?
