He looked decent many years ago but in recent times he's scored 10 goals in the last 6 years from over 100 appearances. I can't remember the details but I also seem to recall he's had a controversial past.

I hope he has, and if we were even considering signing him then it has to be very worrying. Hardly an inspiring record and is 31 years of age. Was on a 4 year contract with Ipswich and made precisely 7 starts, whilst being loaned out to 3 clubs, for whom he started only 21 games in 3 years. Regular bench warmer and anything but a prolific goal scorer. www.soccerbase.com/players/player.sd?player_id=58776

On 31 October 2008, it was reported that Taylor had tested positive in a random drugs test when at Chester, after traces of cocaine were found in his sample. As a result, he faced a six-month playing ban, before joining Belgian fifth division Montegnée. On 14 June 2013, Taylor pleaded guilty to a charge of assault occasioning actual bodily harm.

It was probably us. When he was at his peak, he went on loan to Rotherham where managed 13 starts plus 4 sub appearances without troubling the scorers.
Should fit in well here.

There are plenty of videos of him on youtube from his days at Posh when he looked a real talent, but that was a long time ago now.

Very much doubt it was us that were interested but if it was then it's us that need the 'thinking time'.

Very much doubt it was us that were interested but if it was then it's us that need the 'thinking time'. The fact that even one Division 1 Club was interested should have had Taylor signing on the dotted line. But no, he turns them down.

From his recent past he looks to have been a very lucky boy to have been offered a contract with a League one club. By turning it down he has shown he thinks he is better than he actually is. Wouldn't have been happy sat on our bench with the shop being picked ahead of him. Whichever club made the offer is desperate so hope it is not us.

The club Paul Taylor turned down a move to was Sc***horpe according to the local press up there. He has now been released by Doncaster and is a free agent.
